tbh, Martin can quickly turn into a chuker, and wasn't Lowry injured?
Plus Yao is going to take a while to get in rhythm.

Then again, I like some of the other guys, like Bud. We'll see.

Houston is really stacked, but I have to see how they play first..

Martin and Yao are both very injury prone..

I'd like to see how they balance the shots between Brooks, Martin, Scola and Yao..Battier looked a lot worse than he usually does defensively last year, so I'd have to see if he gets back on track this year, because they'll need his D to make up for Martin..

Their bench is really stacked though, I don't think that's a concern at all..Brad Miller's one of the best passers in the NBA, he's used to Adelman's system, so he'll fit in well..they have a good amount of shooters and guys that can attack the rim off the bench..they definitely have one of the best benches in the NBA..

Their success pretty much depends on Martin and Yao holding up, and balancing the shots between a lot of guys that like to score..

I don't see how everyone outside of Houston can't see how stacked our roster is. Our only weakness is possibly SF. I don't think our rookie lotto pick Patterson is gonna get any playing time.

    Brooks/Lowry/Ish
    Martin/Lee/Ish
    Battier/Budinger/Jeffries
    Scola/Hayes/Jeffries
    Yao/Miller/Hill

11 man rotation + Hill and Ish, both are borderline worthy of playing time
the cage looks the whole world to a bird who's never been outside of it.

Because your franchise center is one foot injury away from early retirement.

adelman is a great coach which is for sure. he managed to knead some brans into a good dish. mavs would have won multiple championships had they got a coach half as good.

I think the Mavs are a lot older than most people realize and the Spurs have some nice young talent to mix in....

Houston to me has it all.

the Great Wall is cracked so no way Houston is more than #3.

Spurs beat that ass last year so they are still above Dallas until proven otherwise.

Sort of off topic, but how bad would Dallas be without Dirk?

They had the chance to find out, but, got scared.

Like being presented with Artest and settling for Ariza.

Have you watched Yao this preseason? Certainly looks to be in rhythm and has gotten better (and more minutes) every preseason game he's played. The Rockets are easily in the top three for most deepest team in the league:

    Brooks/Lowry/Ish
    Martin/Lee
    Battier/Budinger/Jeffries
    Scola/Hayes/Patterson
    Yao/Miller/Hill

So much (young) talent they can throw at you throughout the game.
