Oldest Teams:
Celtics - 4
Mavs - 3
Lakers - 2
Suns - 2
Spurs - 2
Interesting that 3 of those teams were in the conference finals last year.
Haha, you got a laugh out of me with that last one. I should have been expecting that.
Great punchline at the end. Who is the real #20?
6.5/10
How amazing is it that Jordan was MVP and the undisputed best player in the game @ 35?
Pretty badass.
OK. Have to admit I laughed at the unexpected punchline.
That was good I was trying to think who was older than Shaq that is starting ...
And jees anthony Parker i starting for the Cavs that is almost as funny as the punchline ...but just as sad. Lebron really left them in shambles. Not blaming him but that is just pathetic ...
You know what's scary?
I just realized this:
Long lost brothers?
shawn marion isn't a starter
thread fail! thread fail!
Parker was starting when Lebron was there too.
What's so terrible about Parker? He's about an average player. No shame in that.
Unless you mean Jamario Moon should be taking more of his minutes, in which case we agree.
Also worth noting that of the top 19 oldest starters in the league you could arguably assemble a team that could beat the best of the rest. There's a reason guys north of 32 years old stick in the NBA as starters -- they're usually elite talents.
A team comprised of Kobe, Duncan, KG, Billups, Manu, Dirk, Pierce, Kidd, Nash, Camby, and Shaq -- I'd take my chances with them vs. LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Gasol, Howard, Durant, Paul, Boozer, Lee, and Williams.
Two pretty evenly-matched teams IMO. The young 'uns would seem to have a bit more offensive firepower and fresher legs. The vets would have a ton more championship experience and better defense.
Who wins in a 7-game series? The best of the "Old 19" or the best of the rest of the NBA?
Anthony Parker > Richard Jefferson
well done
I'm very surprised with Anthony Parker though...didn't know he was that old. In fact I thought he was way more on the younger side.
oh man i fricken lol'd @ number 1.
actually 2 seasons ago during the houston - blazers playoffs series me and my buddy were talking about mutombo being so old without saying his name, and my buddy's girlfriend thought we were talking about oden
