Big 3 was great, especially TD
RJ played well, more agressive and his J looks much better
Nice to see Hill getting out of the slump in the 2nd half
Anderson was solid for his 1st real game.
Blair needs to be smarter and doesn't force things
Manus outside shot was falling. He's streaky with it though. he'll have games where he's 2/7 from ouside. hopefully others will step up when that happens.

I was so confused about that dude.I was ready to go look up the box score and see what TP got 9 of.
And I believe RJ earned an A-, besides his fouls he was the aggressive, comfortable RJ we expected in his 2nd year.![]()
Money talks
How bout we make a bet about the Rockets being lottery bound this year? I say they make the playoffs, you don't. The Pacers on the other hand...well, we all know where they'll be...
The big 3 are back. The real big 3.
already been addressed, pop mentioned how he was very happy we held them to 44 in the second half. And that it was more heartening that the scoring.
Just to bring some of you guys down to earth a bit: The Spurs scored 113 on opening night last year and looked like their offense was going to be a machine.
An improved Jefferson Anderson Hill seemingly added.
Is that a complete sentence? Sorry, I have no idea what you're trying to say.
Sorry im on an iPhone.
Compared to last year, Jefferson and Hill have improved, Blair it shall be seen but I'd assume he has or will improve. Splitter a big that Pop seems to like and will play minutes, along with Anderson who proved last night he's an immediate upgrade over Mason and Bogans.
Your point is completely understood however.
lol, no problem. I knew there was more to it than that.
Yeah, there are possibly some potential improvements in places, but there's probably less overall depth, which worries me. That last year's team never really took advantage of that depth is what caused them to struggle so badly in my opinion. I seem to recall the Spurs had a ton of assists in that first game, and moved and shared the ball really well. They also played decent defense. If this year's team can integrate Splitter and Anderson, get Blair settled down and can get RJ contributing like he did last night, I think they're going to be pretty good.
Yeah as I said somewhere else, Anderson showed last night he's miles ahead of Mason and Bogans so immediately your sg depth with a healthy manu is better.
To me the depth depends on if Temple can get back to playing how he did at the end of last year. The depth is less per se, but I think the overall quality of the team is much improved. Especially integrating a big like Splitter and he can play well, having another long big man even if he doesn't block alot of shots IMO he will deter alot which they have sorely missed.
wondering if there's any way the spurs can get Dahntay Jones, who wasn't even suited up last night. saw him on the bench. supposedly the Pacers are looking to trade one of their wings and he might be the guy (along with Rush).
i don't know how much he's making, but he's someone that can defend (or used to be able to anyway). that's still what this team lacks. Anderson will get better hopefully on d.
Dumb move. Jones isn't good enough overall to take minutes away from Manu, Hill, Jefferson or Anderson.
Not smart trading assets for a player who won't break the rotation.
Am I the only one who thought Anderson deserved at least an A-? He hit 40% of his 3s, 50% overall, made a couple crafty drives to the basket, and played decent defense (on Danny Granger no less).
Look at what happens when you break your 4 game losing streak.

Hey, I'm giving you kudos. Don't bite the hand that spanks ya.
None needed. Back to the sewer with you.
Simmons sucks,sucked,sucker.........the dude had two three pointers that didn't even come close to hitting anyone other then maybe someone in the first row. The dude score is an F...........Spurs need to try and bring in someone better............
I must have blinked. I hardly noticed Simmons even playing last night.
i was thinking more a long the lines of trading Bonner for him. i don't think a guy like Dahntay Jones would play over those guys consistently, but i think he could play useful minutes in the playoffs ala Tony Allen. lots of great guards in the NBA and the Spurs don't have anyone who could get under their skin.
Who's Jefferson Anderson Hill?
Even if you traded Bonner for him, Jones wouldn't see the floor with Hill, Manu, Jefferson and Anderson all ahead of him.
