I don't get it. Why does everybody hate Quinn? He's a great character and honestly having characters like Doakes and Quinn that have the highest chance of revealing Dexter's monster only makes the show that much more exciting. Last amazing season was season 2 and I gotta say this season is heading in the right direction.
Getting rid of Rita and making her kids move away was the absolute correct decision to make. Only Harrison is left, but he's not in the show because of the excellent nanny who I'm sure will play a larger role as the season unwinds.
Overall this is a good start to a potentially amazing season. Quinn's vigilance adds another needed element aside from Dexter's murders.
Loved Doakes, hate Quinn. Maybe if they had a different actor for Quinn...but I don't know. I just really hate him.
I didn't like Rita either. She was "ok" until s4...then she came back and I hardly recognized her. Blech...and that voice! I liked her kids and the interaction with Dexter. And Harrison rocks!
I do like the nanny. Something seems "off" there, maybe? I guess we'll see.

Yeah, I really enjoyed last night's episode. Dexter's parts anyway.
I love how close Dexter gets to being caught when that guy is running away from him. Had me on the edge of my seat like I haven't been since season four.
Also, I don't know if anyone picked up on Harrison's "bye bye" but it's obviously him saying "die die", at least to me.
I think that's something they may progress on in the season. It seems a bit too obvious for them not to.

Yeah, I watched it again and Dexter thinks that's what Harrison first says but the nanny assures him it's "bye bye". Then it seems like the writers just brushed it off.
But yeah. Interesting.
They didn't brush it off. He said it again over the phone, I believe. Either way, Harrison is 10 months old, and Dexter was a tad busy last night trying to fix Luman's wrongs.
I'm sure they'll continue to bring out Harrison's dark side. Remember - he drew his first blood last episode. This episode, he said, "die die."
They'll definitely continue with this.

Does Dexter want to do Lumen? It's hard to tell in my opinion. I mean she is the only person in his life that has found out about his secret and so far has been able to handle it. I think he likes that about her but does he like her enough to hit it? And will Dexter be able to kill Robocop? Dexter has a lot of people (Eli Stone, Robocop, and maybe Finn) to kill this season.
You had both Zero Cool and Sick Boy at your disposal and you went with an Eli Stone reference? That's some pretty big fail, right there.
Excellent writing this season! So dark and freakin twisted. Interesting foreshadowing-Deb's instincts about the Irish nanny, Harrison's dark side, and Deb's lack of feeling about her first kill are sure to play out at some point.
I would love for her to be a permanent fixture on the show.

La guerta wan't the only one the sold out deb, i wonder what's gonna happen to the girl cop. And this is a good chance to develop the capt. matthews character. His relationship with the morgan's was brought up but never reall6y explored

There was some weird sexual tension between the cop girl and Deb but I'm guessing it's gonna now since Deb got suspended. That cop girl looked hot at that club.
