It transcended Bryant, from an unstable psychopath to a functioning psychopath.
It turned out to be a good trade for the Lakers IMO..

Trade of the decade in my humble opinion.
That is some 14k+, All-SpursTalk Second Team right there.
LMAO ohm with the scathing insight ...
BTW ...WTF with all the Laker threads and posts?
We beat Houston and GSW at home and PHX on the road ...houston is a good team despite being 0-3 and Phoenix is good but learning new players ...
I see no need for Laker fans to gloat too much or Laker haters to get their schlongs bent. Lakers have proved little except that their bench is better, and Lamar benefited from his Team USA stint.
Everything else we knew. Pau has a sweet post game. Kobe is still a top 5 player. artest still plays lockdown defense ... Not much to see here TBH ...
LO would have been a better 3rd fiddle on the Hype than RuPaul, tbh. Oops! Wrong thread.![]()
Granted the Trade did change everything, 3 straight trips to the finals, a back to back and a revived Kobe and Phil. Still, you put any quality big around Kobe, Odom, Bynum and Phil you'd have vaired stats with the same results though.
Depends what you mean by quality big.
KG or duncan agree.
Bosh, (even though I think he is good) Boozer or Amare I dont think so.

Pau fits the triangle perfectly, couldn't have worked out better for LAL
I was being a little sarcastic, but yes Pau does fit in very well indeed.
The gasol trade was just as good as the Duncan Tank, imo.
we didn't tank we just sucked that year
Yup. But the Kobe trade was even better...
Yes, y'all did. It's OK. I would have rather see TD in SA and not in Boston.
Horse . Robinson played six games and the rest of that team was pretty mediocre.
BTW, serious question..how did Mitch Kupchak become such an amazing GM in that year?..he was making some ty moves before the Gasol trade, how exactly did he find the ability to pull off a trade like that?..
No trolling, just curious, since Laker fans obviously know more about it than I do..
Probably wasn't much demand for Gasol since he'd never won a playoff game in his life and just kinda puttered around the game.
As much as I cherish Pau, the greed in me continues to rue the loss of his brother in the swap. I get old familiar stirrings in the loins when the I think of those two toiling for us.
Asked it before:::I just wonder if he were an afterthought in the trade, or, did Memphis target & insist on Marc?
sup Allanon
Insisted per Chris Wallace a few days postmortem.
Yeah because the Spurs were going to win a lot of games with Vernon Maxwell, Carl Herrera and a washed up Dominique Wilkins
You guys tanked and everybody knows. Get over it.
At least I ain't like Cubby, I still have my tumescence.![]()
Sure
That roster minus Robinson should have won 62 games
Dumbasd
