President Bush On Iraq War: ‘I Was A Dissenting Voice. I Didn’t Want To Use Force’
Recall, in 2002, when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was meeting with three U.S. Senators on how to approach Iraq diplomatically, Bush “poked his head into the office” and “neatly summed up” his take: “F___ Saddam. We’re taking him out.” In “talking about why we needed this war,” Bush later referenced an alleged Iraqi assassination plot against Bush’s father: “We need to get Saddam Hussein…that Mother ______ tried to take out my Dad.”

Great thread.![]()
lol @ G Dub. Even though he was one of the worst presidents ever, he was a straight up gangsta.
This is the Bush is bad coping mechanism.
If the President was a dissenting voice on the use of force then who the was calling the shots?
yoni wants a puppet on mt. rushmore.![]()
Evil and Rumsfeld called all the shots. Bush cleared brush.
that has to be a joke. there's no way bush could ever get put on mt. rushmore .... lol
the biggest attack in American history happened on his watch even after he got a memo stating attacks may happen one month prior. that eliminates dude right there.
Bush was a damn puppet from the word go. Look at the ties that half his admin had to planning and executing a neocon agenda since the Nixon White Huse. Bush was a front for a neocon administration. He was a chump and a fool.
Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld just needed an electable face, so they could lead our nation to invade a middle eastern country. Just like they said we needed to do in the 70's.
Normally Vice Presidents and Secretaries of Defense are usually on the back burner and behind the scene. During that presidency, Cheney and Rummy were definitely in the forefront. I think G Dub was the fall man ......
@ a president calling himself a dissenting voice.
Paul Roberts, End of Oil, pg 110."As far back as 1975, as the Arab oil Embargo slowly strangled American economic might, conservative economists and policymakers were searching for ways to defeat OPEC. Although the Nixon Admins plans to TAKE OPECs oil feilds by force had been shelved, the dream lived on through a cadre of neocon analysts and policymakers - among them Wolfowitz, Richard Perle (top adviser to Rummy), and Rummy himself."
