would be a great 21st birthday gift for the spurs to win tonight...bobcats always gives us a hard time in there arena
Stephen Jackson just got fined $50k and the Bobcats have yet to win at home so I see them playing with a similar intensity as the winless Rockets.
Spurs can't afford to let off the gas pedal, should be a W but I see the Bobcats hustling throughout.
I agree with the above. Spurs should come away with a win, but the Bobcats are young and could be problematic.
Yeah, I expect a close tough game.
Is it just me, or do we tend to struggle against CHA in their arena? Probably just me.
Damn early games. Now to decide between trying to catch a glimpse of the game from work, or avoiding SpursTalk and sports pages for two and a half hours until I can get home and watch the came on DVR.
Spurs by 9. And we actually hold a team under 100.![]()
RJ has to do a good defensive job on Gerald Wallace, and we have to outrebound them
If we do those 2 things, we'll be fine
Gonna be a tough game but should be a good one.![]()
if video games tell us anything then the spurs are going to get out to a 12 pt lead, then blow it, and regain the lead again in the final minutes of the game. I almost blew this game last night, i was in a drunken stooper because the beers go down easily on football sundays.
either way go spurs go

Dex's Keys to the Game: (we'll see how long I can keep these up)
Push the Tempo - Like most Larry Brown led teams, Charlotte hangs its hat on defense. Spurs would be wise to continue their running ways and try to get some easy offense before the Bobcats are able to set up in the halfcourt. Brown would like to keep the Spurs in double-digits; Charlotte may not have the firepower to keep up otherwise.
Watching Wallace - Gerald Wallace is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Bobcats so far, so Jefferson will have his hands full. Fortunately, the Spurs game-plan has historically be successful against Wallace, so hopefully that continues. Take him out of the game, and the Bobcats will be hard pressed to pick up the rest of the slack.
Feed the Post - Going up against sub-par defenders in Diop and Mohammad, Tim Duncan should be looking to have a big game inside. The Spurs have to be ready to feed him in his sweet spots, especially once they have settled into half court sets. Diop was occasionally able to bother Duncan while in Dallas, so it will be interesting to see how he affects the big-man in a different uniform.

Is the clock one hour later than last week in USA?
The clock on the forum is wrong. Here in San Antonio, it's 5:15 not 6:15.
Hmm you can fix the time if you go to the Control Panel, Edit Options, and go down to where it says "DST Correction Option" and have it at "Automatically detect DST settings".
My time changed from an hour ahead to the correct time now.
Spurs win but not before a late Charlotte surge that will make Pop call a timeout and have them focus on the W.
Wallace is going to be a tough cover for us.. too big and strong for our 3s and too athletic and quick for our 4s.
Streaming link anybody?
