I have never played a second of this game and I'm proud of that. All of those who said I couldn't do it can off. I haven't done it and I'm proud of that.
Seriously though, I'm totally on the fence about this one. I wasn't a big fan of WAW's online play and really, that's the biggest driving force for me right now. The game can be cool as , but you can only play the missions so often, so the multiplayer has to be the main attraction to me.
Anyone who has it, how is the online multiplayer? And I don't care what you think of MW2, I'm talking in terms of WAW considering it's the same company making this one.
Definitely waiting on this one. I mean, I enjoyed the WaW le for the most part, but I'm a WWII buff. It wasn't all that fun for the multiplayer, but I managed to be successful nonetheless. Infinity Ward dropped what could've been the best sequel to a game since, well, I don't know when. I'm still not certain I could ever rid my senses of the abomination that was MW2. We'll see if and when I do decide to pick this le up.
The game is fun. Not quite as well polished as MW2 but definitely a good game. Everyone Ive been playing with mostly agrees. Not quite as good as MW2 but a solid game indeed.
Does it have PC dedicated servers?

People say Madden is "ZOMG TEH BEST EVER" every year as well. It's . It's just well-marketed .
Arguing that the majority knows what cons utes good entertainment is a shaky position to say the least.
Well Im a C.O.D. fan and did not come out saying Black Ops was "zomg teh best ever" Im just saying a huge majority of the fans were satisfied with MW2. The MW2 sucks camp is very small in comparison to those who liked and enjoyed the game amongst people who've followed the franchise. Was MW2 perfect? No. Balance issues, no map editor, no dedicated servers etc.
FIFY. MW2 was an essentially undisputed success with console gamers. Everyone loves it, and felt it was a great improvement in the series.
OTOH, PC gamers have legitimate gripes, but the whole "unplayable buggy" talk is just inaccurate.
btw, from what I've played (about 1 hr online ... thank God this one finally allows guests and other players splitscreen in multiplayer a la Halo 3) this game is yet another strong entry into the series. New zombie map isn't bad, either, but I've only played a little.
I'm enjoying the game. Some lag issues on PC for multiplayer but I'm sure they'll get fixed. Otherwise, good stuff.
I prefer WWII FPS games too to be honest. I'm keen for this one. The hand-held weapons I hear are quite good

More like this comment is shaky since you're insinuating that "good entertainment" is a measurable en y and not open to the evaluation of the consumer. I enjoyed playing MW2 but it has its flaws just like any other game. But just because a bunch of nerds with FPS fetishes didn't particularly enjoy it or were incensed by certain aspects of the gameplay doesn't make it a lesser game or change the fact that it sold well and was popular.
And for the record I'm really digging the maps on this game. I'm doing well going into my 2nd all-nighter playing it but its only a matter of time until the super nerds and campers start figuring their out and make playing this game a buzz kill.
Got the game earlier and am already up to level 16. Still not sure how I feel about the currency aspect, I guess it's better than having to wait to get to level 50 before getting the perk you really want.
They got rid of heartbeat sensor, which is fine, though I'm not really feeling the motion sensor thing. As of right now, I like MW2 better, but only because I am way more familiar with that game. It is nice that when I have a couple friends over we can all play against AI bots, instead of "screen watching" and having a relatively quiet game with only 4 people in the match.
The RC Car is pretty cool, but the rest of the kill streaks are kinda meh. Apparently they left the max kill streak reward at 11 so people are less inclined to camp like in MW2.
Solid aspect of this game tbh. MW2 became gay when the One Man Army noobtube + claymores outfit became the norm while everyone tried to get the nuke.
Yeah, One Man Army was really annoying.
I don't mind the Kill streak ending at 11, I just thought it'd be nicer to have better killstreak rewards, but whatevs, still an enjoyable game.
What I'm really liking is that one grenade that gives off gunfire sounds to distract the enemy. Its a decoy bomb that puts the red dot on the map when it makes fake gunfire sounds and then you can flank the enemy when they go towards the decoy.

liking it so far. seems better than mw2. like the campaign this time cause im a bit of a history buff. love that killstreak ends at 11, cause campers ruined mw2 or i mean infinity ward who put in killstreaks. like that you arent screwed and have to work your way up to an attachment you get to buy what you want. the wager matches are really fun. the 21 style game with 1 gun per kill is great. starting with a revolver and ending with a crossbow is really fun.
