How could he play sports at all??
Apparently he is not allowed to be touched by any man without callng the gay police.. He must have daddy issues or something..
We all know you always got picked last in sports, 4cc. If you're still feeling insecure about that then let's try to have an honest conversation to try and boost your self-confidence![]()

More or less.
Every real fight (none of that one-sided bull at school) goes to the ground at some point. Boxing is a gentleman's game, MMA is a street fight.
Some people prefer one or both. Let them have their preferences.
+1
All the Boxers who talk about MMA have never been in a real life fight in their lives.
Where is this coming from 4cc? You pretty insecure brah?
We like it because it is the most basic of sports. It's just man v. man, 1 on 1, no equipment, no teammates to bail you out, no bull .
You're right my bad Dessie..
you don't know much about Bernard Hopkins, do you?
Yeah he fought Roy Jones recently in front of about 15 people...
including the coaches and tv commentators
He's talking about his personal history, the story of his life. If you could just go to his Wikipedia page you'd see how much Ginbilly's original comment was off the mark.
Besides all of the best single PPV events in history are boxing PPVs by an enormous margin. Hopkins has fought in a ton of high PPV buy events. I'm not buying this as jealousy. I know its impossible for you guys to believe but some people really do see this sport as kind of gay and not very manly.
For instance in macho action movies you don't see dudes wrapping their legs around guys usually see more striking and such. It's just the way people perceive fighting, or what they think is cool. Also the outfits are kinda gay. I don't know why they stop letting people wear clothes into the ring. IN the beginning they wore karate outfits, and all kind of clothes iirc.
I know all about B-Hop. He's an ex con turned boxing legend with a massive ego and a big mouth.. He's done great things but he often jams his foot into his mouth.. He's never competed in MMA so he has NO place to bash it. In fact when he apeared on ESPN to debate the sport on First Take a few weeks ago he was way more politically correct about the difficulty of the sport and its compe ors. I'm not bashing boxing, i love boxing but i gravitated more towards MMA due to boxing losing many of it's big stars and appeal..
Yes and No. Boxing still has the biggest PPV gate ever in the Oscar/Floyd fight but the big PPV gates are coming less and less.. This is a dying sport in the US. The UFC did over 1 mil buys at UFC 114, 116 and 121. On a consistant basis in the PPV model year to year they are crushing boxing.. Manny and Floyd both sell huge PPVS but there are 2 problems there. 1 Floyd rarely fights and lately ducks more opponents than anything else.. 2 Manny seems to be forming a 2nd career in congress and his fighting days may be winding down. Who's taking his place as a PPV king?Besides all of the best single PPV events in history are boxing PPVs by an enormous margin. Hopkins has fought in a ton of high PPV buy events. That's fine if you feel that way as long as you understand that MMA is closer to what real fighting is than boxing will ever be. These guys have to train in like 10 different styles to become great fighters. You know how hard it is to become competent in JJ, Muay Thai, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, Judo etc?? To say it is not very manly, well is getting your ass kicked manly? Because that is exactly what is gonna happen if you step into a ring/cage with someone who knows how to fight in several disciplines and all you know how to do is throw punches..I know its impossible for you guys to believe but some people really do see this sport as kind of gay and not very manly
In the old days there were no rules and you had idiots trying to choke eachother out with their shirts and belts.

Sure, and in "macho action movies" you also see dudes taking multiple haymakers to the face and barely bleeding and the hero dodging bullets from 50 machine guns...nice analogy, 8 yr old
I don't remember anyone using their belts from what little I can recall but they could just outlaw that, and what's wrong with using your shirt to choke someone? Seems as reasonable as any other way.
Please don't attempt to patronize me; better men than you have tried and failed. Like it or not no one wants to see a guy going for a "full mount" or an arm bar in an action flick, it just doesn't seem very manly.
There's no real good reason to include the clothing rules. They wore Gis in Pride and there were no problems. Especially since every mma fanboy likens the sport to street fighting. I've never seen guys strip to their jockeys so they could street fight.
Are you guys really trying to figure out why the UFC makes it men wear teeny little outfits?
Because it is about skill. JJ and submissions is about technique and skill. What is so skillfull about beating someone over the head with a boot or choking them out with a T-Shirt?
Since you obviously don't watch the sport i am gonna give you a great example of what i mean. This is as slick and skillfull a submission as you are gonna see in MMA
GSP vs Matt Hughes 3. GSP is trying to lock
in a Kimura but as Hughes tries to bridge out of it, he imediately transitions it into an arm-bar and Hughes is forced to verbally tap out. GSP can break Hughes arm in about 5 places if he wants to right there, all he has to do is keep leaning back. That is what i mean about skill in MMA. If you don't like it, you don't like it but that's what i mean..
Boxers strip to their shorts and box.. IT's the same thing except with real fighting not just boxing..
lol says the guy who feels stronger through the sympathetic magic of the internet.
you may be more of an expert on fantasizing about being tough than anybody realized!!!!
i never roll alone so that makes me tough too!!! you don't know me!!!![]()
