I hate to agree with Trollinger. But it's true rockets have lost their games by small margins and have played 4 big boys (LA, SA, NO, Denver)

True. If the rockets move up in the standings and Scola's production remains the same his chances of making the team improve dramatically. But, with Aaron Brooks now out for a month the rockets chances of moving up are that much tougher.

The Chinese vote will put him in to start if he keeps playing like this. If you look at the numbers each year in voting, China gives maybe 200,000 to 300,000 votes to players that they really like. And the Rockets record does not matter much for all star voting. This is not all NBA team. Also, every team is supposed to get a player voted for by the coaches. That means Scola will get voted in from Houston probably by each coach.

I doubt Scola keeps up those numbers, but he is a sure fire lock if he does.

The chinese vote isn't going to get Scola more votes than Durant and Duncan are going to get.

Scola's only chance is to get voted in by the coaches and in the coaches minds, team record matters. If the rockets are still looking up in the standings at the Jazz come AS time, I can't see Scola getting the nod over Paul Milsap, whose numbers are every bit as good as Scola's right now.

You'll notice that his numbers are dropping. A week ago, he was at 27 ppg. Call me at the end of the season if it continues, or if he "shows" even once this year on P'n'R defense. He let a 90 YO Dice assrape him last time we played.
