Sí, las tareas ya fueron asignadas! Je. Hablamos bastante y nos sentamos juntos en el avión, así que ya le he contado bastante.

¿Cómo hará la Selección Argentina para intentar reemplazar al mejor pivot de su historia? ¿Te cambia en algo a la hora de decidir tu futuro con la Selección el retiro de Fabri?
Muy posiblemente el mejor 4 de la historia tenga que jugar a pasar de 5 y el mejor 3 de la historia a jugar de 4! Pero Fabri no se reemplaza… solo te trata de buscar la mejor combinación posible de jugadores dentro de la cancha. Igual lo definirá el técnico. No, no cambia nada. Quiero jugar en Londres, pero me hubiera gustado muchísimo jugarlo con Fabri.

Hace un tiempo me llegó una remera de la época en la que jugabas en Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, sponsor Topper, blanca y azul, con dorsal 11. Mi pregunta: ¿es posible que haya sido una de las que usaste vos en alguna de las temporadas que jugaste (tengo claro que usaste la 6 en una temporada), y si no la usaste, me gustaría saber de quién es, si es posible?. En Estudiantes yo usaba la 10. Si no me equivoco la 11 era de Mauricio Hedman, pero habría que corroborar, mi memoria no es taaaan buena como para acordarme de todos los números de todos mis compañeros de equipo de hace 13 años! Si lo es, me preocupo! ;-)

Me cuido bastante, trato de descansar bien y alimentarme mejor. Es más fácil disfrutar de tu familia en la NBA que en Europa. Al menos las es son generalmente libres cuando no jugás. Todo el mundo tiene compromisos y obligaciones… además, en 3, 4 o 5 años no tendré más, así que disfrutaré de todo mucho mucho.

Siempre ha estado en circulación, impulsado por el físico y capacidades atléticas que demuestran algunos jugadores, el rumor de doping para poder resistir tales esfuerzos ¿Qué opinás al respecto?
Es inevitable. El rumor siempre estuvo y no voy a decir nada que haga cambiar la opinión de la gente. Solo puedo decir que nunca vi, ni me ofrecieron, ni instaron a que consumiera nada raro…

Estaría bueno. No tengo idea cuales son los planes de la CABB, pero no tendría problemas.

La segunda es sobre el basquet universitario allá en Estados Unidos. Acá no se ve mucho, y ahora que tenemos a Juan Fernandez jugando allá me gustaría saber qué pensás del nivel de la NCAA en comparación con otras ligas que conozcas. ¿Creés que un jugador juvenil puede optar por esa liga antes que intentar desarrollarse acá o en Europa, ya que en Argentina están jugando poco los jóvenes en la liga y en Europa parecen llevarlos de chico y no se preocupan tanto por darles minutos?
Creo que es una gran opción para los jugadores jóvenes. No tengo idea como se compara el nivel con Europa o Argentina, pero es corto, intenso y los jugadores mejoran mucho. Le haría muy bien a nuestro básquet que más chicos se vinieran a estudiar y jugar acá.

Un poquito sí me preocupa. Si seguimos defendiendo así no llegaremos muy lejos.

Sí hablé varias veces y estuvo en mi casa. Estaba un poco emocionado por tantas muestras de afecto, pero a la vez contento con la decisión y tranquilo.

No creo. Es una pregunta para analizar largamente, pero también podríamos haber estado relajados después del 1er anillo, después del 2do anillo, después de ser allstar, después de ser campeón olímpico, etc. Por qué después del 3ro sí y del 2do no?? Muy difícil de saber.

Con este arranque de temporada no podés negar que vas a estar entre los posibles para el All Star, conociéndote no te importara mucho, pero… ¿no creés que después de tantos logros colectivos, no estaría mal ser reconocido como un All Star por segunda vez? Verte ahí entre los mejores del mundo, para nosotros no tiene precio.
Está claro que ser un AllStar es un gran halago, no es mi objetivo, pero es un honor muy grande. Nunca voy a ser elegido por los fans y para que voten los entrenadores faltan 3 meses, creo que es un poco temprano para pensar en eso, no?

Mi intención fue siempre quedarme en SA. Si me daban lo que quería, me quedaba. No tenía intención de jugar a dos puntas o esperar nada. Sabía donde quería estar y además me aseguraba en caso que algo pasara en el último mes de temporada.

A while ago I bought a jersey that dates from the time you played with "Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca", the jersey is manufactured by "Topper" it is a black and white jersey with number 11 on the back. Is it possible that this is one of the jerseys you used while playing with that team? (I am pretty sure you used number 6 in one season), if you did not use that jersey I would like to know who did. Playing, training and traveling must be exhausting. How do you manage to deal with all these things? How do you find some time for your family and hobbies?
I take care of myself a lot, i try to rest and feed myself better. It's easier to wnjoy your family in the NBA than in Europe cause you have all the afternoon for yourself if you don't play that night. Everybody has his things to do, but in 3,4 or 5 years i won't have to do them, so i'm enjoying them very much.

What is your opinion about doping in sports?
It's inevitable. The rumor has always been around and there's nothing i can say that would make people mind change. The only thing i can say is that i've never seen or they never offered me something like that.

I think it's a great option for young players. I have no idea how to compare it to Argentina or Europe, but the tournament is short, intense and players improve a lot. it would be great for our baskatball if many kids come here to play and study.

It's an great honor to be in the ASG, but it's not my goal. I'm never going to be chose by the fans and for the coaches vote in 3 mounth, so it's early to think about that..isn't it?

It was always my intention to stay in SA. If they gave me what i wanted i was staying. I didn't have the intention to play both sides or waiting for something else. I knew i wanted to stay in SA and signing i felt secure if something happened to my in the last mounth of the season..

They are similar, but not THAT similar. People that are not used to see them every thay get confused..

Ciru is great. he is kind with everybody except with other dogs or animals. He's a 1!!

By now it isn't that overeacted as they said it would be. I think it's a better way to calm down with the complaigning and to respect the game. I haven't seen many bad calls yet..

Couldn't find the one he mentioned on the Cavs but I believe it's one many years ago when he drove from the right side of the court and slammed it one hand over a big man or two. It wasn't anything TOO special. You can find it on a lot of manu mixes on youtube. It sticks out often because the clip is off of ESPN's daily top 10 plays (I believe it got 9) and the caption is "Emanuel Transmission". I actually think I remember watching that countdown way back then on ESPN.
