    so heres the problem i have a hd4870x2 card, how come i cant hook it to me 26inch lcd tv...i tried the dvi/vga adapter from pc to lcd...

    do i need to change the settings first on the pc b4 i hook it up to the lcd so it will appear at the tvs resolution?

    the LCD doesn't have a DVI or HDMI input?

    it has a dvi port...

    and hdmi ports also

    while my comp doesnt have hdmi ports

    Did you modify your display settings on your computer to run on a second monitor?

    Nah not yet, i just want to do one monitor only, not a dual setup

    just use a DVI cable, and make sure the monitor is set to use the DVI input. why even mess with VGA?

    You still probably need to change your display configuration to reflect the fact that you're using a different monitor.

    Check the manual for your TV, it may not support the resolution you have set on your PC.

    okay got it hooked up after playing around with settings on the lcd, some got locked most of the features had to scroll through the whole thing and see what it does...fckn time waster

    lol inbuilt hd receiver is horse , still need to plug in an antenna to search for the hd channels...piece of
