I will say one thing positive bout Timmy....He had a better work ethic than Snaq...In fact had Timmy played with Kobe they both would be sitting on about 10-12 les right now. Timmy would have played Kobe's Pau role to a tee. Kobe's psychotic desire to win would have forced Timmy to take a backseat to and defer to Kobe...and Timmy would have been ok with, loved, and flourished in that secondary role because he's not outspoken and demanding like Shaq was. Deferring to Kobe would have fit his personality to a tee... Kobe would have made Timmy the greatest big man ever. He would have toughened Timmy up likes he doing Pau right now... I could see them being a super dynamic duo...

Timmy is easily the best PF of the decade, and I don't even have to point out the sheer talent and high bball iq of Kobe. Kobe and Duncan would have been great together but the MAIN reason for their dominance would have been Duncan. Duncan's teams have the highest winning percentage over a sustained time in the history of any major sport since Bill Russell career - and have never missed the playoffs. Can't say the same about Kobe and Duncan would never have let the Lakers be as mediocre as they were for several years post Shaq until they stole Gasol to prop up Kobe's lack of leadership as the sole true superstar on a team.

Since Duncan joined the league, San Antonio has won at least 50 games every full season (going 37-13 in the shortened 1998-99 season), made the playoffs every season and, as I mentioned earlier, won four championships, in every case with Duncan as the best player on the team. Kobe, Shaq, Wilt Chamberlain, even Michael Jordan: You name the star, they played on a couple of mediocre teams. Nobody wins 60 percent of his games his entire career except Duncan and the greatest winner of all time, Bill Russell, with 11 championships in 13 seasons. Even then, Russell’s teammates were as good or better than Duncan’s, and the .705 winning percentage of Russell’s teams doesn’t exactly blow Duncan’s .695 out of the water, especially when you consider the higher level of compe ion in the current NBA
