Non-issue.

I wish I was joking. I like the Blazers, I like the way they're attempting to rebuild, and I really like Roy. This sucks for him and them all the way around (while at the same time being just a little funny, because really, their luck could not get any worse now).
Roy diagnosed with arthritic knee
Blazers superstar Brandon Roy has been playing on one leg this season, with tightness in his left knee sometimes rendering it effectively immobile. Roy's athleticism has been noticeably subdued this year, with the guard lacking the explosion in his first step or his careening take-offs. The Blazers feared surgery would be needed to fix the problem.
The actual diagnosis is somehow worse.
The Oregonian's Jason Quick reports that Roy will avoid surgery, but has been diagnosed with "arthritic knee," which will require the guard to take anti-inflammatory medicine daily, will cause pain so long as Roy runs and jumps using his left leg, and means, effectively, that the Roy who swept into the NBA into 2006 is no longer the Roy under Blazer employ.
I remember when Kobe's finger got diagnosed likewise. I heard a lot of guffaws, snickers, et al, most with a Texas twang.
This one seems quite a bit more solemn. hmmmmmm.
Really sucks for him...but at least he's paid. I wonder how much longer he will actually be able to play?
I don't understand though, why doesn't he just have surgery? It seems like his knee is only going to get worse, so he should probably jus get surgery and take some time off.
The only surgery that could help him would me microfracture. Bone on bone.
Roy is a great player and seems like a good genuine person, why couldn't this happen to a wit like Lebron
All he needs is to stay hydrated, take 1 aspirin a day, get rest and good sleep when possible and he will be JUST fine. It is not like he is 35 with these problems. No story here.
How much laker semen do you digest to get over the fact that a leg /= finger?
he better start perfecting his mid-range game because it seems to me that's all that he's going to be able to do without problems.
I was checkin' assholes.
The Blazer dynasty crumbling before it ever begun.
If it weren't for t being such a likeable fellow I'd rejoice. I wish this were the Spurs.
it sucks for the blazers, the bad luck they have since several years now is incredible
lol @ suicide watch. If this cat goes down, Portland might as well bury itself
I love Spurstalk. Where else can you find out that water and aspirin replaces knee cartilage?
FML, the best SG in the league now has arthritic knees. Even if he can continue playing under pain. He is only 26.
FML, rapists like Kobe gets to play in the NBA with a relatively injury free career, and win multiple championships while being carried by great big men.
I'm waiting in the barn for you sweetie![]()
But yeah, that sucks for Roy. As a Jazz fan, karma is a , right Portland? But that sucks for Roy.
You got no room any longer. Your Neal is a rapist as well.
Congratulations, and welcome to the club.
