Oh, and great job D'ing up on Love tonight, too.![]()
Dude can't guard anyone and isn't having the impact that a lot of people thought he would.
Can someone please tell me how he is considered a top 5 power forward? He's a good player, but I'd say he's pretty overrated.
For NY's sake Amare had better make me eat my words. Until then they'll still be a team.

12 offensive rebounds? Someone's not boxin' out.I'd still take Amare back in a heartbeat though.
Love also committed about 30 fouls for what I saw, and most of them were committed while he was wresting the rebound but none was whistled. the ref was a racist.
Amare's always been overrated. move along
Like I said last year when arguing with Suns fans who thought Phoenix should give this guy a max deal....
A PF who averages 6 boards a game in the playoffs...in his prime....healthy....in a contract year...is not worth the aggravation or the $$$.
"It’s definitely tough,” Stoudemire said. “But this just goes on my shoulders. I take this loss on me. I got in foul trouble. Once I got in foul trouble, they took advantage of that.”
At least this FA can take responsibility.
There still Cleveland fans on this board?
Nash didn't make Amar'e, but clearly he was a better player with Nash on his team. Without him he's not quite at the same level of play.
so that makes 2 or 3 power forwards that have been exposed as scrubs this season. the eastern conference is looking pretty weak this year
u haters would be dropping loads in your underoos if he was on your team, tbh
I'd be dropping loads if my team had his terrible max contract for the next 5 years. Enjoy! Have fun with those 7 turnovers a game.
Old news... Everyone knows Amare (while a very GOOD player) was only playing like a superstar because the pinpoint passes he received nightly from Nash. The guy has never cared a lick about playing defense. All he wants to do is run and dunk on people.
Now that he has to create his own offense the rest of the league has noticed that he hurts his team more than he helps them.
We do have his terrible contract. It's just with three sub-par players. Knicks were smart to consolidate. Suns have POS wings wrapped up for 100 million with Turkoglu, Frye and Childress. Each for a minimum of 4 years.
Not as a go to guy and defensive anchor. I'd love to have him as a second option, but not for a frickin max contract. The guy has very little in the way of leadership, basketball IQ, and defensive work ethic. The potential is there, it always has been. But for now he's just a really good offensive player who plays lazy/stupid defense. I'd hesitate to even say that he's as good as prime Chris Webber.
