They're going to ask Tony for Eva's number, obviously.
(I know there's the Tony/Eva thread but I'd like to steer this back towards the Spurs. If mods want to delete, that's fine too.)
Given how Peter Holt puts a high priority on character, could the recent development with Parker endanger his career with the Spurs?
Curious to hear how others think this will play out with the FO.
They're going to ask Tony for Eva's number, obviously.
We know one thing for sure, he's not getting cut
How did the Lakers F.O. react when Kobe raped that girl? They eventually gave him a contract worth more than $30 million / year (for his remaining years).
If he did cheat on his wife, he's not the first Spurs player to do so.
So they'll probably just tell him to ignore the press, and continue having a great season.
the real question is how tonys game will react to this. Could be unaffected, or could have a Tiger slump
This is worse than just cheating on his wife. He did it with one of the most well-liked former Spurs' wife. I'm sure some of the other guys think he's a jerk.
I gotta wonder what DRob thinks about it.
Is there any evidence of this other than Mario Lopez's account of text messages?
Fine. If true ... then what I said.
ship his ass out
You do realize he didn't find out about this before tonight's game like the rest of the world, do you?
That's not what I said.
If the Spurs had to cut every NBA player on their roster who cheated on his wife, they'd be lucky to field a team.
They aren't all cheating with their teammates wives, allegedly! This is bull if true. What an embarrassment to the Spurs organization and DRob, if true.
Why the would Tony's affair be an embarrassment to DRob? What the is wrong with you people?
Relax, Parker will be just fine guys. Just look at Tiger Woo...oh wait.
Are you aware that Brent Barry hasn't been a teammate of Parker's for almost three years? Some of you people slay me.![]()
I was kidding guys. I don't think it will bother TP all that much. However I'm not sure how much it will impact the team. I guess we will see though.
I'm not worried about the cheating part.
It's the ex teammate wife part that I don't like. If it was a current teammate then it would have been pretty straight forward as it stands now - assuming that it is in fact true - I see two problems:
- Big media frenzy that will create nuisance/anger in one of the more conservative teams in the NBA.
- How much the other veterans liked Brent. This has nothing to do with basketball. Imagine a similar situation in your workplace and you know it would create an unpleasant situation - and that's without the media's attention that this guys are and will be under.
The best solution will be if the media losses interest real quick, which in today's world wouldn't be that surprising. Could we somehow get Artest off of his meds? That would pretty much take care of the media attention...
Yeah you have to keep your eye on him or he will bang your wife.
Well - at least Brent is not still playing. Imagine what the press would do if he was - and the media circus surrounding the guys the next time his team played the Spurs.
Small difference between cheating on your wife with one woman, and cheating on her with 15+ women, some of whom were pornstars, and risking bringing a disease into the house).
Both are morally wrong, though.
Hide yo wife, yo kids, and yo husband. Because Tony Parker is sexting everyone over here!
Sorry bro, but you've put too much thought into this one. Who cares about the effects of Tony cheating with Brent's wife.
