Personally I think TP will have his head more in the game now without flying here and there for movie premieres/award shows and what not. He'll grow closer to his teamates and they'll take him in and be there for him probably when he needs them the most right now...

The minute Tony started dating and entered into that Hollywood lifestyle, the salacious headlines were sure to follow. Thus, it increase the likelihood that there would be some sort of undesirable attention - headlines that the Spurs organization detests. In Fakerland, this would be a blip on the screen. The Spurs, on the other hand, would rather not have Entertainment tonight and the E Network calling for game credentials, as well as having their players queried about this off-the-court business.
This hasn't been mentioned, but Pop is in a somewhat awkward position too. He loves TP like a son and I'm sure he loves Eva like a daughter-in-law. However, Pop loves ALL his current and former players, so you know he's also still got love for Brent and his wife.
This will make for a very tense future reunion of the 2005 and 2007 championiship teams, long after TP retires.
this just goes to show that the squeaky clean, white washed, holier than thou at ude the spurs organization has tried to portray is beginning to crumble and for once the truth will be exposed that san antonio is just as full of hate, lies, and deceit as any other place on this earth.

Just curious if anybody knows whether the Barry's were truly divorcing before this came out and for how long. Were they divorcing INDEPENDENTLY and from THEIR own issues or was this the actual CAUSE of the divorce? Probably have to wait for this to be determined as the days, weeks, and months play out.
If this took place during the Barry's divorcing process then it's not quite as severe.
Hopefully this is what it is for the sake of the LONG TERM outlook of the relationships of players (current or former) who are closer to the situation than others.

That is kind of what I proposed in the beginning- that issues existed within one or both couples and they were good friends. Of all the Spurs wives, Erin formed the closest relationship with Eva. I could see it beginning as Tony and Erin leaning on each other or seeking advice from each other, and then them getting too close and crossing the line, even without any physical intimacy.
His private life not only won’t affect his professional one, he might even be better in it now...

As Kori pointed out, the earliest text statements didn't include sexting - said they were emotional in nature. Sources have stated there were some naughty texts but that there was no physical intimacy.
Marriages are complex. They usually don't fall apart solely because of one thing. Could this have played a big role? Of course. Could this not have been the issue? Of course.
Not to throw more speculation out there, but it's not impossible for someone to have been in a relationship for 20 years (since they were kids), wake up one day, look around and think - what am I doing here? What have I missed? It's not impossible for someone in a long distance relationship to look at emotional texts and think - I don't trust him, we spend too much time apart, I can't make this work anymore.
Soooo, yeah. I doubt there will ever be firm information, because really, there is so much that happens behind closed doors and between people.

Earlier, Popovich said he didn’t think Parker’s real-life soap opera, seemingly lifted from the plot of “Desperate Housewives,” would prove a distraction.
“I’ve never worried about getting somebody focused,” Popovich said. “If I need to do that, I have the wrong people on the team.”
