Depends how you look at it. Gervin has 26595 points when you combine ABA and NBA. Duncan will become the Spurs all-time NBA scorer. Respect for all.
Tonight might be memorable for Spurs forward Tim Duncan, as he could become San Antonio’s all-time leading scorer. He trails David Robinson by 12 points. Robinson scored 20,790 points in 14 seasons. “He’s done a fine job for a lot of years and been the driving force behind our championships,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said of Duncan. “The fact that he’s reached this plateau I guess is not a big surprise for all of us, but it’s certainly an accomplishment.”

I guess ESPN had it wrong; they showed Gervin with around 23,700 in the Bulls game on Wednesday, but they called that ABA and NBA combined; they must have meant NBA only.
I'm using Basketball-Reference, they have Gervin with 20708 NBA and 5887 ABA.
ESPN must have been way off then; maybe I'm remembering the number wrong, but I think the first 3 digits were 237.
Edit: According to Basketball Reference, Gervin had 4219 in the ABA and 19383 in the NBA for a total of 23602; these number include only games played for the Spurs franchise.
Thanks, that explains it. I took Gervin's ABA total, didn't go Spurs only.
gervin228 I'm not.![]()
I really hope Duncan can do it tonight. This will definetaley be one of the most remember able nights of his career.
A milestone in reach, against the toughest opponent yet this season, and the game isn't on TV. all that noise. The links aren't even working.
He did it! On two made FTs no less!
You in sa? It's on kens channel 5 here in town. He just did it...he past David with free throws.
I'm in Austin. ...here's to you, Timmy.
What the Utah feed put up with the second free throw.

Gervin looks a little old in his player pic.
Props to Timmy for moving into #2 on the Spurs all-time scoring list. The NBA can go to for not recognizing Ice's first 7617 points from the better league in the 70s.
TD was on NBATV's "Arena Link" segment to talk about the win and him passing Big Dave for #1 on the Spurs All-Time NBA Scoring List. Here's the link:
