creating a thread about a movie that's gonna suck sucks
Pixar is doing it for only one reason: Cars kicked the out of ALL of their other movies in merchandising.
It's all about the Benjamins.
yep made over 1billion all together
Shame cause Pixar is good. It seems like a stupid story.
Oh well. Heres hoping theres a sequel to Monsters INC
Monsters Inc is right there at the top with Toy Story. Even though I love all 3 movies (well, maybe not LOVE the 3rd one), I think I'd prefer they left Monsters Inc alone.
Why is it a shame to see the free market operate?
It may suck. It may not break the box office opening record. But my son and 20 of his friends close his age along with their parents who will have to sit in the movie with them wont care bout that.
Monsters Inc. II 2012 no joke
The first one was pretty cool. This one looks nice as well.
Why are you jumping to conclusions after one trailer.
It could be just an incredibly bad trailer, but it looks bad, Cars was awesome.
I thought the first Cars was stupid. This one looks even worse.
$5 billion in overall sales for a movie will create a sequel.
The first one was not one of their better ones, but it's still decent.
Money aside, I don't think Pixar wouldn't do this if they didn't have a compelling story to tell. Call it blind trust or naivete if you want, but they've earned it.
Cars was still entertaining but definitely not Pixar's best. Even Pixar's worst is still good anyway imo.
Agreed.
That being said, the tow truck character was the thing I liked least about the first one and seems to be a huge part of the sequel. I'll undoubtedly see this one, even if I wait until after theaters, just because I do trust Pixar, but... that much Larry the Cable Guy is not getting off to a good start for me.
Pixar is still batting 1.000 in their movies.
I think I'll go out on a limb and say this one will also achieve success.
First Cars sucked and was by far the worst movie Pixar has produced. Paul Newman(R.I.P.) was the only redeeming factor in that POS remake of Doc Hollywood. With him gone, I see no reason to watch this one.
+1000000
Too bad Zemeckis is washed up these days and caught up in the 3D cg craze. Bob Gale could probably do it justice though.
bump,
also why is bruce campbell in this
59% on RT told ya'll s it was gon' suck
Why would you give a about this movie if you don't have kids?
Pixar's existed 16 years and has never made a bad movie, this is history
I never saw one Pixar movie before my son was born.
Edit: Oops . . . not true. I watched Finding Nemo on a plane.
