Ariza completes them. Good going, Morey.
16 points on 5-9 shooting, 7 boards, 2 steals
Strong night from him.
Ariza completes them. Good going, Morey.
We need a dynamic scorer on the perimeter and a big man off the bench to give us some length.
Still think we're better than the Spurs. Duncan is a s of himself and I would take Ariza/Marco/CP3 over /Manu/Parker, plus our bench with Jack will prove to be better.
Hornets defense is legit but still missing a piece or 2.
Of course. I trade Ariza cause he constantly shoots 30% to the guy I'm playing this week and he shoots 50%+ while Shaq shoots 25% and I lose.
Son what do you expect, when Kobe takes players under his wing he turns them into clutch & confident players after they play with him hahaha..in 2008 it was Ariza. In 2009 it was Ron Ron. In 2010 its Barnes.
When Trevor Ariza is the most efficient scorer, you know that it was an ugly game.
son just like Mbenga! we are forever grateful for the championship experience that stud has. Mbenga arguably has the purest jump shot in the entire NBA.
sons look at the bigger picture ... I know Laker and Spurs fans can see it, but Mav fans won't ... good teams aren't going to drop 100 points every night and look outstanding, but they WILL find a way to win regardless. The Bees were sloppy tonight no doubt, but they have enough pieces to find a way to win.
sons all that matters is the W next to your name
Son exactly, Mbenga looks like the second coming of Wilt out there.![]()
Morey is overrated. Over reliance on stats like Hollinger ...
cosigned ... we have 3 more games left on this west coast road trip against the ClipShow, Blazers, and Jazz .... obviously both the Blazers and Jazz will be a tough challenge, but AT LEAST the Jazz game won't be a back to back like usual.
2 questions for you BR ...?
Why no Thorton? And do you think Isiah is better than Paul?
I completely agree with you.
Okafor is looking sorta spry. Not sure if he can't maintain that level though.
Great point, so no excuses. Seriously Jazz get a lot of the tail end of back to backs due to the no Sunday rule at home ...
82 game season, who gives a what the game looks like if theres a W next to it. Thats why I hate fans that expect blowouts vs avg teams everytime. Sactown aint good but these still are professionals out there. The maloofs should move them though, that arena was damn near empty in the upper levels.
Mbenga had a solid clutch 3 point play in the game....probably had more points in the second half than King Paul.
Not sure I agree. Duncan could be playing possum they havent had very many big games and when they did he showed up vs. Utah. RJ is better than Bellinelli but Paul is better than Tony obviously ...
West is the best edge for either team Spurs have trouble matching up with him ...
Gotta take the 5 wives & 18 kids to church.
Championship experience.
and yes the W matters most that is why I laugh at Hollinger ... who will proably move the Hornets down because it was close win against a scrub team ...
son Thornton has had a minor injury for a couple of weeks and that is the main reason why he hasn't played as much. However I do believe that he is still in Monty's doghouse due to his lack of defense. Thornton is without a doubt one of the best scorers in the NBA coming off the bench. He can come into a game and drop 6-10 points in no time, but Monty is stressing defense and Thornton has apparently been having trouble fitting in. Personally I hope that he can improve on the defensive end simply because of his quick scoring, but I'm not really that confident that he will and if that's the case then he will be traded by the deadline.
son its still too early to tell if Paul is better than Isiah. You're talking about comparing someone who is only in their 6th season to someone who had a brilliant 13 year career. Of course I am a little biased with Paul, but I think that if he can stay healthy and play at least 12 seasons then he will go down in history as one of the top 2 or 3 best point guards ever, if not the best. I only hope that he plays his entire career here in New Orleans so that his legacy isn't tarnished like some other clown (Lebron S. Pippen)
Fair post, but I just meant at this point his career ...
I think Paul is the better:
pure passer
rebounder
theif
Neither are great defenders
Isiah:
Shooter (open jumpers)
clutch scorer (subjective obviously)
Scorer (creating shots for himself)
son I never make excuses with the Jazz other than the FACT that most of their home games are against teams coming off of playing teams like the Lakers the night before.
The Jazz have ALWAYS given the Hornets problems way long before Paul or Williams were even in the NBA. My main beef is that people speak out of ignorance. They look at the W/L column between the Jazz and Hornets and just assume that Williams dominated Paul and that is so far from the truth. Go look at their individual stats when playing one another and Paul has a slight edge. The Jazz have always had solid teams and the Hornets have not. However the 07-08 season AND this season there will be absolutely no excuses because both teams are looking damn good.
