Don't even think about it.
I'd rather have Bonner.
Here is Peja's wife- not that it matters.

5 years ago sure but not now hes not gonna want to come off the bench in a situational role for SA
pop is going to be drooling at another 6'9 player who can chuck 3's.
Not impressed at all. Might be a bad pic of her, but that's not an attractive woman IMO.![]()
I'd take him for the minimum. He could be useful in very limited minutes.
I hate it when some of you guys on SpursTalk act like our players are un-upgradable.
He's OVER 6'9" AND can shoot lights out, and if he's bought out, could maybe be had for vet min, and people don't want him.
Folks, it probably wouldn't get any better for a waived player pickup this year.
Like zero, zero would be a good minimum number.
I thought that was Seikalys wife?
sons all I can do is LOL at this
sons at least do his wife justice ...
with the King at Peja's annual charity bowling event in NOLA

Another 3pt shooter is not what Spurs need.
Nothing to worry about anymore...

I likeUpdate: The New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors have agreed in principle on a five-player trade that would send Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to the Raptors for Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and Marcus Banks, a source told ESPN.com Saturday.
The New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors are in serious discussions on a five-player trade that would send Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to the Raptors for Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and Marcus Banks, a source told ESPN.com Saturday.
The deal was close to being completed Friday night, but was held up over the amount of cash the Hornets would send to the Raptors in the trade.
Still, the holdup was not believed to be insurmountable, according to a source with direct knowledge of the talks, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
RIF. We KNOW about the trade. This thread is speculation of a potential buyout by Toronto.
my bad. Also
at your completely overblown response. Have a coke and a smile.
That would be the same problem many were ing about in the past.
"Why do we always sign those veterans on their last leg, I want a young athletic player - give them a chance Pop"
And now that's exactly what happened and tadaaa, there's the "Let's sign that veteran - he brings so much experience to the team" thread.
I would not sign Peja - not even for the vet. minimum. Neal, Anderson and Bonner can all shoot, so why spend money on a player the Spurs don't need?
I'd take Peja over Green/Gee or whatever project 3 we might be getting, however, if he's staying ( in the NBA ) he might be looking for a bit more playing time to earn some kind of a contract after the lockout.
Let's not forget Anderson might not be ready for the playoffs, physically and mentally. That said, I doubt the Spurs would go after him.
Do you mean Peja would be good in the Coyote suit or on the court?
I think we have enough as far as what he can offer....but for the minimum...sure.
Have Chip compare/contrast his shot from video when he was with the Kings and Hornets. If he thinks his shot can be fixed/tweaked to get him back to his glory days, give him a chance to become a decent backup to RJ for the minimum. If not, forget it.
I dont like any choker in our team. remember his playoff's airballs
