Definitely a tragic situation for the family and begs to bring the quesion up: Why even bring a 2-3 year old child to a sporting event? Also, why in the world would you allow your young child to roam around said suite?

for a 2-5 year old kid it is..doesn't look too high in the picture maybe bigger in person cuz 50 feet is still quite a fall
I think a full grown adult would of probably survied that with serious injurys
the one that was bad was the guy that fell from the upperdeck at the rangers game..now that was bad but luckily he survied

A 2-5 year old kid would enjoy a live basketball game. Especially from a luxury suite, I mean, the kid was taking pictures. The parents probably gave thee kid their camera phone so he would shut up and leave them alone for 5 minutes, here's the result. Don't know how you live that decision/action down.
Very tragic and I feel for the family and the child - but what the is wrong with those parents!
Hope they get a child neglect or endangerment charge of some kind becuase that only could happen from neglecting the child.

Like the parents that forget and leave their sleeping child in a locked car in the middle of the summer here in Phoenix. I can't imagine that moment when you realize what you've forgotten and start for the car.

they got glass barriers separating the suites, but no barriers that protect kids from falling down. makes sense, because its much more dangerous if you stumble from one luxury suite into another.
