Anyway, to actually talk about the OP, yes it's out and they added new text tones to distinguish one iPhone from another when you get a text. However, they still refuse to actually do the most basic of things and let you customize your own text tone. It's quite puzzling.

However, this update is more of an iPad update than one for the iPhone. So it doesn't really seem to do anything new. *shrugs

And with the holidays approaching, it's also a marketing move in order to promote Apple products.

I can live without Flash. Hasn't really affected me. Most websites I go to use Flash for videos that I don't watch, even on my desktop. Only a handful of times have I visited a site that was pretty much useless without Flash, so no big deal to me.

That custom text tone thing though. I mean, how hard is it, and why wouldn't you have it in the first place? That's just puzzling.

First of all, this post had so little information I didn't even initially know it was about an Apple product.

If you were running 4.1, it's not that big of an update (outside AirPrint/AirPlay). If you have an iPad though, it's a major release.
