longest in spurs history is 17 baby
What's the front page of ESPN and SI.com?
Why, the perils of an 8-7 team that has never stepped onto the court in a playoff game together.
Gotta love hype, and the total lack of it we have/want/need here in San Antonio.![]()
longest in spurs history is 17 baby
It`s nothing. ESPN knows that Spurs can go 20 W. No biggy on 12W
it's been nothing but heat for the last....well since the start of the season really (srs)
I doubt you were a spurs fan then. I bet you had to dig that one up.![]()
It's just because of all the expectations about how dominant the Heat would be.
I keep telling you guys . . . ducks is a goddamn genius. You aren't paying attention.
90% of this board labeled the Spurs done before the season started becasue they can't think for themselves and believe everything the media says. the media is no different in sports than it is in entertainment or politics. it's something people should be very skeptical of.
So the Spurs, who were projected to be around a 6-8 seed this year by most people, rattling off 12 in a row with an overtime win after being down 18 to start 13-1 isn't surprising?
Lakers started 14-1 two years ago.
If we can match or surpass that, we'll be numero uno on every sports front page.
dude it was in 1976
There is something on nba.com
were you spur fan then?
I honestly don't give a about media coverage. Let BSPN cover the ty Heat.
Spurs were never a darling team for the NBA and never will be. Popularity never won the Spurs a le, but winning championships gave the spurs respect.
Let the spurs continue to crawl under the radar....
You really are a ing moron... And yes, I was a fan when they set their record...
I'm a real Spurs fan bro.
or 1996.
em', just let the Spurs slide under the radar like always...![]()
Guy's stop quoting ducks' posts. I have him on my ignore list but, I'm forced to read everything he says if you guys keep quoting him. Fortunately he didn't say anything too outrageous in this thread but I'm not holding my breath.
That 1996 team was incredible. Starting 5 I believe was
Avery
Del Negro
Elliott
Charles Smith/Perdue
Admiral
How they won 17 straight is amazing.
Even so, that's 14 years ago! Damn I feel old.
If a person was born in 1990, they're 20 now but were only 6 years old when that happened. Now obviously we all know ducks here, but I'm not sure accusing someone of not knowing that stat off the top of their head because they aren't a "real Spurs fan" is valid, since it's 2 years longer than it takes someone to go through grade/middle/high school.
dude I have been a spurs fan since they drafted david robinson
Ah yes the days of Purdue, Del Negro, Smith, J.R Reid, etc. Incredible...![]()
