At the same time they hit a lot of tough shots, and Darko had a career night. You usually don't win games like that against hungry young teams when you play so poorly.I could see that Minny choke up coming from a mile away. If you get in a hole vs a scrub team you know they'll let you back in at a certain point. They remind me of the Clipshow
It's a testament to the drive of the team that they managed to keep themselves in the game even though we made several plays that should have ended our winning streak.

The Spurs overcame an athletic young team, who came in with an explosion of aspiration because of their previous losses (4 of which were leads taking away in the 4th qtr.) Kevin Love is phenomenal, and Darko has come into his own, and today they wanted the win so bad they could taste it.

a win is a win, no matter by how many or who you beat. sure, it would have been nice for the Spurs to blow the TPups out of the gym, but that didn't happen. For the first 3 quarters, the Spurs couldn't get a shot to fall to save their lives. Love is a beast of a player. It is like he is Australian and the ball is his boomerang, cause it keeps going back to him. I am impressed with the progress of Milicic...He seems to be finally turning the corner on his career. Still, SA should have won this one going away. The TPups fought hard to defend their house, though.....I will take a win vs the TPups in OT.....cause afterall, a win is a win is a win.
With the upcoming stretch over the next week, they needed that W, no matter how it came about. Dallas, New Orleans, and Golden St. will not be easy tasks at all. The Spurs can give themselves some much needed early season breathing room with a sweep of this weekends' games...
