When Bonner gets scored on, no matter how much effort he puts on defense or how effective it was we read in this forum that he can't defend or that he was lucky the other player was missing shots. On the other hand, people scored at will on a Splitter; who was even reluctanct to put his arms up in some plays, and he gets a B? WTF?? Tiago was horrible this match, I can barely remember one good play for him, we should try to be less partial when judging / grading players.

    I really REALLY question whether:

    A. Posters like this even saw the game and if they did, did they actually pay attention?
    B. Have any sort of knowledge about basketball?

I can't believe nobody asked yet...

Are you grading players all the same or based on some kind of expectations?

I disagree on the "he is a rookie" meaning we can't rely on his production. He is a NBA rookie but he is not a rookie BB player. He isn't a 20 years old, he played on a difficult league, he played international ball, he won a lot of trophies and he was one of the best player in Europe.

I don't know if I'm expecting too much but I expect him to be an important factor for this team even in PO.

On top of that what we want from him is Defense and help Duncan in the paint, he is capable to do that if Pop let him the time to develop.
Splitter does all the little things that Bonner doesn't. How is Splitter to develop and adjust to the NBA and the Spurs if Popovich plays him so inconsistently. If he plays, he'll learn the system (which is all Bonner has over him + shooting).

Well since each player has a different ceiling, you have to grade them all differently. I'm pretty sure that's what he did.
