Auburn should move up to number one in my opinion.
Bama had a chance to put it away in the 2nd quarter, but they couldn't and Auburn took advantage. Can't see Cam Newton losing, even against Oregon.
Wow...
I may comment on this game in a bit, but for now I'm just going to soak it in.
Damn...Auburn showed some pretty huge nuts to come back from being down 24-0 in a hostile environment against the defending champs...
impressive comeback. not surprised auburn came back, but a little in how it was done. either way auburn is one game from the le.
I actually think that they will, don't you? I mean, they handed the defending champs a come-from-behind victory, even while they (Auburn) were still making big mistakes themselves.
I swear I think that Auburn just took 'Bama's emotional guts away from them in the first half of the third quarter. I was surprised that Bama folded the way they did, but you gotta give some props to Auburn's D in the second half.
Somebody is making some damn fine coaching modifications for Auburn at the half.
And Bama just never could get control of how many people to have on the field when Auburn would use the hurry-up offense.
Seriously, think about if Auburn had their entire defeinsive line for the whole game (which they didn't deserve to have...I don't disagree with the refs in the Georgia game calling what they did) and if that idiotic call against Fairley in the first half of this game hadn't kept Bama alive in that one run, this game would have been a lot closer in the first half, and the eventual result might not have been such a surprise.
But watching Bama in the first half, I found myself wondering how they ever lost two games this year, and then in the second half...it became clearer.
About half of my family is miserable at the result of this game...but the GOOD half (MINE) is thrilled. My late dad and all of his brothers are in heaven chortling at this.
well, i've slept and rewatched most of the game and I still don't know what to think. This game, assuming it's not vacated at some point, may well replace Punt Bama Punt as the greatest game ever in a series chock full of greatest games ever (at least from an Auburn perspective). Astounding.
Never in my years of watching college football, spanning 3 decades, have I seen a team more adept at coming from behind, making key adjustments at halftime, and never giving up. Never giving up like my sorry ass did when the Tigers were down 24-0.
Chizik made some calls, specifically on two 4th down situations, that confirm his balls are made of brass.
Ted Roof called a fantastic second half, and the defense really deserves credit for this win, something I haven't been able to say all year. I was getting the stake and gasoline ready for him in the first half, but again, this is why I'm sitting on the couch as a humble fan.
I'm just numb, but you can bet every single Bammer in my family got a text saying...
