When a team has 17 TOs and 14 assists, they will lose the game. And that's a credit to the Mavs defense.
Yes, that's unacceptable for a team like the Spurs. Gotta bounce back against NOH.

It's hard to be upset with this loss after that kind of win streak.

Pop needs to work with this team on ball movement against the zone. The Spurs have always had trouble when the Mavs switch to zone. Manu and Hill play well against it because they can shoot the 3 and drive the lane. The rest of the Spurs need to figure it out.

How many touches did Tim get down the stretch?

One, and he bricked an ugly turn-around.

Tim is a role player on offense.
We didn't lose this game in the last 2 minutes, we lost it because we kept turning it over and giving the Mavs easy fastbreak points. Yes, Tim is taking a backseat this season, but the guy who's supposed to be an MVP contender (Parker) sucked ass all night. Jefferson was MIA, and Bonner was set up for failure by Pop again.

So Duncan leads the team in FG%, rebounds, assists, blocks and he's the reason we lost? Bonner stinking up the joint on both ends of the floor, Jefferson completely disappearing, and Parker sucking on all fronts is just incidental, eh?
First off, Timmy and Manu both had the same number of assists (4). And since he's the only seven footer on the team, he should lead them in rebounds. My point is, when it's nut cutting time, Timmy didn't come through. And I think we all expect more from Timmy than Jefferson or Bonner.

Here's some insider info: Dirk is really tall, and shoots fadeaways like it's nothing. Nobody's going to block his shot.

the whole team sucked, except for manu & hill.

btw, what was Neal's 2nd TO for? the first one was a DD, and then a little later he got called again for something out on the arc...

Have you been under a rock all season? This isn't 2003. Tim is the #3 option on offense. He got 1 shot down the stretch and missed it. You think that was the key play in the game? You don't think the Spurs having 13 assists to 17 TO had more to do with this loss?

I beg to differ. The score was 91-88 with about 3 min left when Tim took his only shot of the entire 4th quarter! I mean that's not taking a backseat, this guy is not even in the discussion offensively anymore. He is supposed to be Ben Wallace. He can't score on Ian Mahimi? really?

Why be concerned with the previous 45 minutes when the Spurs could have still won the game in the last 3. Instead they basically decided to let Manu take the keys, which he proceeded to drive us into a ditch.

Outside of that, Dallas is ridiculously stacked, and we'll have our hand full beating them in the remaining 3 games this year.

Yes, the game was lost in the last minutes because the game was tied with 4:41 left. And the Mavs were scoring in the half court down the stretch. Yeah, I know Tim's taking a back seat, but damn it, why does he have ing butter fingers every time he get's the ball down low. I'm not hating on Timmy, cause I don't expect him to win the game for us. Just give it away.

Any yes, Jefferson reverted back to being Jefferson and Tony wasn't agressive enough.

Dallas D looks improved from last season.

Spurs played a different type of ball game that they've been playing all season.

Too many players trying to dish out a pass as they're up in the air. Poor passing decisions majority of the time. Other times recipient just wasn't looking for the ball or took their eyes off to trying and deliver something quick and drop the ball.

Hill showed improvement from previous games.

Bonner despite being off on his shot tonight looked really aggressive out on the floor was fighting out their with the minutes he had. Partly why I think Pop stuck with him.

Overall the first half blunders really ruined the spurs chances on having a comforting lead going into the half.

If there was a game to lose like this with poor bball decisions, it's going to be against the mavs. Dirk just wouldn't miss tonight. I'm surprised at how much Chandler improved his free throw shooting...well haven't watched previous games but he was delivering on the line tonight. Jumpers were not falling for our spurs tonight from key players.

I liked Neal's hustle D on Terry. Really swarmed him the majority of the time.

Dice has had two back to back terrible games. Not sure what his deal is, but he just looks a step off or tired/lazy.

Tiago had some good minutes, would have liked to see him tossed in place of dice.

Blair was playing well, just undersized in his match up to play dirk. When Dirk placed his back to Blair via post blair seemed to really be able to aggressively manage against him then. Sucks that he got pulled out the rest of the game, he did a decent job and really didn't make any big defensive mistakes.

Overall, With only our 2 lose of the season. I'm sure the coach staff is going to show a lot of film on the miscues from our boys in silver and black.

Duncan had pretty stupid turnovers in the fourth. I recall one pass that he wasn't able to catch and one that he fumbled.

Dejuan Blair makes a few really good plays on Dirk in a row, and is immediately subbed for Bonner, and neither he nor Splitter make another appearance.

BTW, I move that we should referring to any three guard lineup featuring Bonner as a three guard lineup, and call it what it is: a four guard lineup. When Bonner can't use his size against Shawn Marion, he's not a big.

On the bright side, Pop had Blair in as a small forward...for six tenths of a second.

Ok let's not get stupid now. Manu has had "The Keys" all season and it's lead us to 12-1. So back the off on that.

And as far that he Mavs: This is a division rival. The Mavs are rediculously stacked? Isn't that said about the Mavs every year? It's one game. It was close and I don't fear this team anymore than any other year.
