That was two seasons ago. Got renewed for two more after season three I think.

Great news for all you Dexter fans out there. There should be plenty of Michael C. Hall slaughtering those who have it coming to them in the near future. Showtime has picked up the critical favorite for two more runs, meaning that Dexter will go on for at least five seasons.
Weird. Ok. The le of the story was "shows renewed for the 2010-2011 season" and there was a long list. Please, please get renewed! Although, with him getting more and more loose with "the code", and with deb getting closer to finding out, I don't know how they can go again for another season.
it hasn't been renewed beyond season 6
i remember watching season one when it first aired, it seems like so long ago. i am very interested no matter how many seasons this thing goes how the writers would end it.
But this is season 5...so there's a season 6 for sure?
From what I've read there's nothing that indicates that the show has been renewed for a 6th season.
It's about time Dexter and Lumen got it on! I could feel that sexual tension all the way over here!

I have a feeling that Dexter is going to try to kill Quinn when he really needs to kill Robocop. Robocop knows what Dexter and Lumen are doing. Quinn only knows about them being on a boat dumping something into it and he probably doesn't care anymore since his number 1 priority is being able to screw Deb.
How are they going to get to Jordan Chase?
Loved most of the episode. Unlike most of the people in here, however, I did not care for Dexter and Lumen hooking up. I don't know why but I didn't want it to happen.
That said, I understand it and I enjoy seeing Dexter go through those emotions through the show. He's finally passionate about something (besides killing). While he figures out that he was passionate about Rita, he knew deep down it was because he had to be. But, with Lumen it's clearly not the same; it's genuine. The relationship between the two has made for some really solid acting this season. Jordan Chase has been a great character too.
How is Dexter going to get out of all this going on with Robocop?
I wasn't really feeling the start of the season as far as the storyline of LaGuerta and the Investigation crew with all of the beheadings and stuff, but these great villains really saved the season imo.

Hmmm... Assuming the two men and two women involved are Quinn, Robocop, or Chase with Deb and Lumen, this makes me think it might be the end for either Deb or Lumen. None of those guys dying would make me cringe, and I can't think of any other women important enough to this season's storyline that could be in the mix.
What about LaGuerta?
She's a possibility, I suppose. As is the nanny. And, for that matter, so is the new chick detective. I just don't think any of them have been important enough to Dexter's part of the story to make them options. The nanny, maybe, but it would be hard to do anything to her without also putting Harrison in danger, and I doubt the writers would be callous and/or dumb enough to have Dexter lose is wife and son in successive seasons.
