King James wants Spoelstra to bow to him
By Adrian Wojnarowski
Erik Spoelstra reached out to Mike Brown over the summer and searched for insight into both basketball’s blessing and curse: Coaching the two-time MVP LeBron James.
Over and over, Brown uprooted his offensive system to appease James only to have it never work. Brown praised James’ character publicly when he would’ve preferred to have been truthful about James’ narcissism. James defied Brown in public and private, disregarded his play calls to freelance his offense, and belittled him without consequence within the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Meticulous in his preparation, Spoelstra spoke with several past coaches, and league sources said a clear and unequivocal picture appeared on how to proceed: End the cycle of enabling with James and hold him accountable.
And surprise, surprise: LeBron James has responded with a test of his own organizational strength, pushing to see how far the Heat will bend to his will. This season, James is hearing a word seldom uttered to him in Cleveland: “No.” And it keeps coming out of the coach’s mouth, keeps getting between the King and what he wants.
Can I stay overnight to party in New Orleans after a preseason game?
Can I play the clown in practice?
Can I get out of playing point guard?
No. No. No.
Wait, what?
No, LeBron.
No.
What a GREAT article.
DUncan228 thank you VERY VERY much for posting. THANK YOU!
The Miami Heat organization will be further ruined until Spoelstra gets the out of being a head coach.
Does not matter who coaches that vastly over-rated team without a center and a point guard and two "superstars" with only one le between them + the soft as charmin Bosh who is not a superstar.
Lebron seems to be an even bigger doushbag then people assumed. Guy is gonna need a need a new notebook for all his mental notes.
Someone’s scared here, but it isn’t the coach.![]()
everyone should've saw blaming Spo coming from a mile away. Lebron is like me in some ways....some being the operative word
....spoiled and narcissist...
except I don't play for an NBA team.
ok just BS'ing...Seriously what other card could Wade and Bron possibly play at this point to save face. Spo was a dead man walking as soon as Lebron sat down with Jim Grey. The reason Pat Riley hasn't commented because he knows he's ed. In fact Riley was never really certain this would work out to begin with...Go back to the July celebration the "big 3" had...If you re cue the tape you'll notice Riley with a dead and cautious look on his face in the midst of all that celebration. New coach or not teams smell blood and their going in for the attack. Lebron and Wade really ed up this time because when they fire Spo and continue losing those to Negro's will be like crabs in a bucket. The roof will be on fire, it will be every man for himself.
and for the record Lebron has a history of abusing coaches...He had a great coach in Paul Silas and worked behind the scenes to get him canned because Silas was too serious and demanded a strong work ethic from him...he then picked Mike Brown whom he flipped off and even bumped just like he did Spo recently...Lebron had Mike Brown fired ( even after he knew he was leaving the Cavs)...and now he's openly challenged Spo by leading a players revolt and causing Wade to be disloyal to his coach. Wade is the ultimate pussy for not standing up for his coach and Lebron is the ultimate cancer... his fall is actually coming sooner than I predicted. Kobe ain't got nothing on this crack baby ...
Lebron Bumps Mike Brown:
Lebron Bumps Spo:
LeBron didn't have anything to do with Silas being fired. Dan Gilbert wanted to bring in his own coach after buying the Cavaliers. The only oddity was that Gilbert didn't wait till the end of the 2004-05 season before firing Silas.
(Silas deserved to be fired IMO.)
And Spoelstra was a dead coach walking well before LeBron sat down with Jim Gray. Spo's days were numbered the minute LeBron first met with Pat Riley, in 2008 or whenever.
give me a reason a great man like Silas deserved to be fired other than his skin color...You have no reason so off with the make believe...Lebron needed a displinarian...firing Silas is what got the Cav's organization and Lebron where they are today...Gilbert and Bron ed up on that decision and too ing bad...Look at how it's turned out for em...lol
LeBron and that giant ing horse he road in on. He might be 6ft 8in of solid muscle and athletic ability but he's a pathetic spoiled brat. As big as he is in size, he's smaller in character.
Damn I dislike self en led mother ers!
The team quit playing for Silas the last month he was in Cleveland. It's that simple. Once a coach loses the team it's over.
Of course, Dan Gilbert could have fired Silas for his skin color. That would explain hiring Mike Brown to replace him.
ducks tried to warn folk here
To blame Spolestra for this is to insinuate that he's the reason for this mess. Perhaps Riley should be faulted for putting this disjointed and very flawed roster together to begin with. On any given night, opposing PGs are getting their career highs against this Heat team. Additionally, they have no paint presence and no bench.
However, it's also very clear that LeQuit's arrogance and hubris are seeping through the fabric of this team. The only problem is that now Wade seems to be joining forces with him. That is the source for this lack of team chemistry and disjointed at udes.
These guys wanted to take the short path to success, by joining forces on the same squad. They foolishly, and immaturely, thought it would be easy and they would magically reel off 5-7 championship les. Now that they've found that the road is paved with adversity, they want to run and hide, and moan, and just like the cowards that they are, transfer the blame elsewhere.
Don't get it twisted. The writer has nailed this 100%. The Miami organization will be further ruined as long as LeQuit continues to exhibit his immature behavior, or until he grows up or leaves.
In this case, don't hate the game, hate the player.
Damn right...Look at Mike Brown...he was black in skin color but not of the Silas variety...He played the role of good ole boy to a tee...why do you think Lebron ran rough shod over him...it was because he was a house and not a field ...The day that Lebron turned on Gilbert and bolted for Miami...Gilbert's true color's where exposed...All this hiring of blacks coaches while it's good in and of itself...you ever wonder why Gilbert is hiring nothing but black coaches...there's a saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer....the Scott hiring was done before Lebron bolted...it was all to appease Lebron...and he ed em all...

You're expecting Koolaid to use logic?
Incoming post calling me a got, other slurs, etc. followed by some gay ass youtube video
My logic and my game is always tight:
If you can refute this with logic then I'll give you props but I know for a fact you can't...anytime you hire nothing but blacks I get su ious...Gilbert trying to appease his "Star" player by hiring only his kind...Gilbert is of the same mentality..."Birds of a feather"...you know the rest of the saying......They were all nothing but convenience hires...Damn right...Look at Mike Brown...he was black in skin color but not of the Silas variety...He played the role of good ole boy to a tee...why do you think Lebron ran rough shod over him...it was because he was a house and not a field ...The day that Lebron turned on Gilbert and bolted for Miami...Gilbert's true color's where exposed...All this hiring of blacks coaches while it's good in and of itself...you ever wonder why Gilbert is hiring nothing but black coaches...there's a saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer....the Scott hiring was done before Lebron bolted...it was all to appease Lebron...and he ed em all...

I'm calling b.s. on Wojnarowski until he can name his *sources*.Erik Spoelstra reached out to Mike Brown over the summer and searched for insight into both basketball’s blessing and curse: Coaching the two-time MVP LeBron James(notes).
Over and over, Brown uprooted his offensive system to appease James only to have it never work.
Meticulous in his preparation, Spoelstra spoke with several past coaches, and league sources said a clear and unequivocal picture appeared on how to proceed:
On his named source Mike Brown, lets see if Brown verifies what Woj wrote.
He can't and won't.
RummpdJordan Pippen and Wentington?Does not matter who coaches that vastly over-rated team without a center and a point guard and two "superstars" with only one le between them + the soft as charmin Bosh who is not a superstar.
Heat in 2006 with Van Grunty and then with Riley?
I hope Lebron will never even gets to sniff a champinship.
I would hate to see him get a ring over people that actualy deserve it.
At least the Refs are doing a good job taking care of the NBA Golden boy.![]()

Well, maybe it's time for LeBron to grow up. And while people are enjoying the Heat struggles, if LeBron stops making excuses and starts dedicating himself to being great and doing whatever it takes to win, then what they're going through now is a good thing. Obviously remains to be seen if that's how LeBron will respond.
Damn it, I knew you were going to break out the "Mike Brown is a house n*****" take. I should have just written that post for you.
I agree with this. It is truth.
I sincerely hope that Laker fans can look at that statement, apply it to Kobe, MULTIPLY it by a thousand, and understand that THIS is also the reason Kobe is hated by non-laker bandwagonners.
Everything that you can hate about Lebron is being exposed and he will deservedly catch flak for it.
MULTIPLY it a thousand times and laker fans can begin to understand how other people feel about Kobe and how he has been one of the biggest stains in the game of basketball in history.
The world would be a better place if that bag were in prison for the last few years.
Amen.
No need to acknowledge....over and OUT.
The Miami Heat organization invited this pit bull into their house, and now they're getting a closeup view on how it really behaves.
the classy spurs organization could have won more championships
