They chose to make details of their relationship and then of their marriage very public information. They gave interviews and publicly shared specifics of their life for PR purposes. Of course, the subsequent break-up will then be very public, as well. You can not really expect to flaunt the relationship when it serves you and then claim you deserve privacy when it does not. If they had kept things as private as possible throughout the course of it all, then I would feel bad about the media coverage, but they chose the other path from the beginning.
For the record my comment above was directed at actual news organizations and sites like the one Ploto linked or TMZ.

Well having seen TP on the cover of at least 6 french magazines and to say nothing of the notoriety of Paris Match, I did expect some info coming form the land of Charlemagne.
