Team ball, that's the important thing.

The Mavs have had other runs before, but now they are really playing well. This is the best since that 07 season. Mavs fans used to complain, rightfully, that the offense was too much Dirk iso. It's take Rick three years, but the offense finally has a lot of motion, and Dirk is getting some clean looks regularly, and showing what he can do. Caron has also stepped up big time these last couple of games.

It's crazy how deep the Mavs are. There's only 1 starter out there in the 4th

Dallas looks good although I don't think Utah is all that tbh. I think the Lakers, San Antonio and Dallas are clearly the top 3 in the west.

It's gonna be interesting to see how much each of them push for that number one spot so that they can avoid the other two until a possible conference finals.

I think the Lakers might not care too much, they are probably confident enough, being reigning champions. But the Mavs and the Spurs will probably look for it, and they might burn out a bit because of that.

the first real test stone this season imho. play the toughest team and win, then i'll be convinced the Mavs will DO something this season especially in the playoffs, otherwise they are no different from what they were and will go no further than 2nd round in playoffs.

So Denver, San Antonio, New Orleans, Boston, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, and Miami weren't tough tests? All of whom we beat.

That was one impressive defensive performance by Dallas tonight. They completely took us out of our offense and frustrated Deron all night. We played pretty good defense in the first half but that one 11-0 run did us in.

IMO Dallas has been the best team we've played this season.

The Mavs defense was impressive. Sticking with the trend of not using one player to keep quick PG's out of the lane but a team effort. Especially with the zone. Good communication on defense and quick, crisp rotations have been mainstays in this defense so far this year. And the good D has led to easy offense. Congrats Mavs and keep up the good work. Jerry Sloan is soooooo underrated as a coach.

However I am a little concerned that every few games we get out rebounded handly. Our rebounding was pretty bad tonight. But maybe that was because Chandler stayed on the bench most of the night with foul trouble. Still... we could have done better in that area but a great win nonetheless.
