"We talk about the money like it's Monopoly money sometimes just because these guys happen to be professional athletes. [One-hundred thousand] is [$100,000], I don't care how much money you make. I take offense at times just in general how all of us talk about the money. He's got two kids. That's some serious college schooling right there potentially for those kids 16, 18 years from now."
    Tomlin ^

Tomlin has a point. Between roster bonuses and salary, Harrison will make $3.55 million this season. The $125,000 in fines he's earned so far represent 1/28th of his salary. That's the equivalent of someone who earns $50,000 per year paying a $1,785 fine. Is that enough to force his kids to go to community college? Not unless he hired M.C. Hammer's financial adviser. However, it's still a fair percentage of a salary no matter which tax bracket you're in.
its really not the equivalent....Harrison still has more money than most of us could ever dream of.

and seriously with the kids? all he has to do is take 10% of his salary this year and his kids college is taken care of. not to mention this isnt the first year hes ever made money.

some of these people are so ing stupid it makes my head spin.

i only have 3 million dollars left :

That's not even fully true. The usefulness of money goes down when you've gotten past the "necessities". The $1,785 probably means much more to the person earning $50,000, as that person probably is only spending 20 to 25K on non-essentials.

    DD is a Steelers fan
nah, quite the opposite actually...Bills fan. But I lived in Pittsburgh the last 2 years and became a big fan of their LB corps. Timmons, Harrison, Woodley, Farrior, et al. Freak athletes, fun to watch. Big fan of Aaron Smith, Hampton, and Polamalu as well. The rest of that team can off FAIC

This is basically the same thing as when people like Cubansucks say, "I don't like watching gay porn, but I like watching a sport where two hot, sexy sweaty men role around on the floor with each other." It's pretty obvious you're a Steelers fan.

    whatever you say, stretch

your random use of gay porn references without provocation is pretty telling as well. You and Kool hang out?
