Auburn 31
SC 13
sec championship...going with the ol' ball coach.
South Carolina 27
Auburn 26
wow, i don't see that. South Carolina had a nice lead against them earlier in the season before they became a turnover machine. i think it was like 4 turnovers to 2.
Auburn looks awfully good to start off. Seen this before though, against Kentucky. Auburn let them back in it. Hopefully it won't happen this time
ing Carolina players need to eat more bananas, or stop faking cramps to slow down Auburn
i'm impressed with auburn and newton. newton throws better than vyoung and runs just as well, if not better. but, t.u. had a better overall team in 2005, especially on defense.
Talk about a stomach punch play. Damn.
you gotta be ing kidding me. right after SC got back into the game...garbage.
There is zero ways to stop Cam Newton from doing whatever he wants. The ducks are in for a major ass kicking.
Great victory that will be rescinded in 2 years.
It's really going to suck for Auburn if they win the NT to go with this.
The early 2000s undefeated team is always forgotten and not recognized as anything really and this years team will be punished hardcore in the future.
That makes two les... that never happened. Kinda sad.
i dont know about auburn. the NC could be a blowout because Newton is great and all, but he doesn't have the supporting squad that VY had in 2005. oregon will come out and put up points like no other the first half, and Newton will score a couple of td's the second half, but it won't be enough. oregon is a high powered offense that auburn has yet to see this year.
Firstly,
Would like to say congrats to Symple on his Auburn Tigers advancing to their first BCS le game. It's an exciting time to be a fan of a team that has a chance to win it all. Regardless of your opinion of Cam Newton and what transpired for the latter half of the season, he performed better as an individual than anyone did in college football this year. He's going to be an interesting player on the next level and hopefully he'll succeed. Perhaps this year I'll watch the game since there will be a Pac-12 team in there, but I haven't made up my mind. I dont particulalry like how Ducks fans are normally, so I really don't have a vested interest in who wins it all. But, I will definitely, once again say congrats Auburn fans. War Eagle!
Secondly,
You kind knew the SEC le game was done when that hail mary happened...
You know what? I still don't think Auburn did anything wrong.
However, I think it's entirely possible Cam knew what was going on with the MSU pay-for-play scheme and that Auburn (because of Cam's ineligibility) will have to vacate the season after the investigation is done. I could live with that scenario so long as Auburn is absolved and doesn't get put on probation
Everybody knows that USC won the championship they had to vacate. They were the best team in the country that year. If Auburn wins this year but has to vacate, then it will be the same. TCU is good, but not Ore/Aub good. Auburn will continue to be remembered as the best team in the country for 2010, regardless of what the record books say
I've pretty much put the whole Bush Scanal in my rearview mirror. While I'm disappointed it happened, I'm glad that it is finally over with. It won't ever change the fact that the evening that USC demolished Oklahoma, I had one of the best nights of my life (and career @ USC) partying. Not one much to do so, let's just say that every cliche that happens in those college-aged movie pretty much happened to me. It was worth all that toil and struggle and just seeing how the school was left me enthused for a long time.
Go wild if the Tigers win...
I would like, though, to see how TCU fairs in the BCS bowl. They may not be one of the traditionals or anything like that, but they've been pretty good this year. That defense under Gary Patterson has always been good and tough. Ah, well, they didn't get in over Auburn or Oregon, so I guess it'll always be speculation from here on out.
This is the first year in so long that there will not be a USC/UCLA team in bowl game.
Also, USC lost to only one PAC-12 South rival and that was Stanford...so, it bodes well for us in that division.
Appreciate the kind words.
A few quick question about USC. Do you think Kiffin did a good job this year? I actually expected the Trojans to be better considering all the talent left over from Carroll. What's your long-term prognosis for USC?
Not trying to flame, just wondering what you think
good post.![]()
i was a little off, it seems.
