I don't think Iguodala is worth the investment for Cleveland. They should hold on to that TE.
The 76ers are attempting to trade swingman Andre Iguodala, league sources have told Bob Finnan of the Mourning Journal.
There is no active dialogue between the two teams, but a source said to keep an eye on the Cavaliers.
Cleveland has a $14.5 million trade exception they could use to acquire Iguodala.

Lets say Iggy is traded to the Cavs, how much of a difference would that make to the Cavs?

Not much of a difference at all, it would be a waste, they should be doing as much as possible to start rebuilding..Iggy isn't a top 2 building option for a team, he's already in his prime and isn't even close to being a franchise player, any rebuilding team taking his contract would be a horrible move..
Iguodala has been on the block for over a year now and nothing has happened, so we'll see if he ever gets moved..
Dallas would be the only team I could see making the move..
He needs to be moved. No question. But CLE would be silly to do this imo. Iggy is good, but you can already see he is not a number one option. Unless CLE was going to deal for someone else to go along with IGGY to make a push, this doesn't make enough sense for me.
Best strade would be for Melo ...but doubt Melo wou;d re-sign ebven though he would be in the "tri-state" area abd pretty damn close to his Baltimore roots and just a bridge and a freeway from NYC his preferred destination.
i think turner can be a solid #3 protentially but as mentioned Iggy is only a good #2
Melo's a #1, so you trade a #2 for a #1
And you pray Brand can have a breakthrough but i doubt it he is damaged goods ...
Dallas would be pretty dangerous if they make a move for him.
No we wouldn't. Iggy isn't much of an upgrade over Caron. His jumper is streaky as well and he is more of a 3 than a 2.
Iggy is a better defender but caron isnt called tough juice for nothing... i think he deshawn and tyson give the Mavs some swag, and an edge they have not had in years ...

He is an upgrade to Butler.
His defense is way better, his passing, his transition ( o Jason Kidd).
He is younger. Butler will look for his last contact until he is 34 or 35. Iggy would be the 3rd core player under 30.
Butler/Ajinca/Jones/Pick...
Iggy is a better ball handler, passer, slasher/finisher, defender than Caron.
How did the Mavs get involved in this conversation? Anyways. Cleveland wouldn't evolve much, Iggy and Mo would be a good combo, but it's not explosive, or dangerous at all. The Cavs need a better investment.
Iguodala plays best as a SF. He's out of position at the 2. So he wouldn't necessarily be replacing Caron.
Is he good enough to be a #2 guy in Dallas in your opinion?
Hard to tell. He obviously has talent, but I don't think he would be that great in Dallas.
He would be good though.
I expect the Mavs to land him and if/when they do, they'll act like he was the final piece to a championship caliber team. In reality, he's an excellent complimentary player, but not the go-to perimeter type the Mavs need in order to be legit contenders.
Butler, Jones, a 1st and one of Mahinmi or Ajinca, will probably get it done. They may need to add another 1st that won't go to the 76ers for years and will have myriad provisions or a future 2nd or something and there's always the possibility other spare parts will be included (although financially, this deal works), but I think that will be the base of the deal.
I don't think Iggy will be great because he will be this dynamic scorer, but what he will bring is another legit play maker.
Iggy by himself doesn't solve all of our problems, but his addition plus getting Beaubois back (assuming he plays up to potential) definitely could.
Makes no sense for Cleveland, so yeah, I can see it happening.
As for Dallas, they shouldn't make any moves other than obvious stuff like the Dampier for Chandler trade. With the defense they're playing, they look like they could challenge LA for the conference.
we staaaaaaacked
