I have to agree - I saw Modest Mouse at the Grove in LA. What a horrible show.... Johnny Marr looked so embarrassed to be on stage with all those half-wits.

01) blue oyster cult @ verizon many yrs ago... too bad i wasn't born many decades before or else i might've seen a good show out of them. they were horrible! granted, they've aged plenty and your voice changes with age.
Most entertaining show I've ever been to was Bobby Lee doing standup down at the River Center... had to be June or July 2000. Pre-Mad TV. He was opening for Carlos Mencia and ended up stealing the show. I was hugely pregnant and he made me laugh so hard I almost fell off my chair. Damn near wet myself.
Lynnard Skynnard 1976 (pre-plane crash), Municipal Auditorium. 10th row. Pot smoke was so thick it looked like they were running a smoke generator. Free Bird with 4 guitars lined up on the front of the stage was incredible.
