If you were to build a different championship team for each Duncan, Parker and Ginobili who would they be? This is something I've thought about before when I think of special players who I think would play well with any of these guys.

So name the starting lineup. You can have 2 more all-stars but no more. The players also have to be current players and they can also be any Spurs current player as well. And finally name the team that would most likely win in a 7 game series.

    I'll go first.

    Duncan's team:

    PF: Duncan
    C: Lamar Odom
    SF: Lebron James
    SG: Andre Iguodala
    PG: George Hill

    Parker's team:

    PF: Paul Milsap
    C: Dwight Howard
    SF: Danny Granger
    SG: Marco Belinelli
    PG: Tony Parker

    Ginobili's team:

    PF: Dirk Nowitzki
    C: Joakim Noah
    SF: Ron Artest
    SG: Manu Ginobili
    PG: Rajon Rondo

I think these are all very solid teams but I think it would be between Duncan and Ginobili's team in a 7 game series with Duncan's coming out on top.

Parker's team sounds very appealing and I think would definitely matchup well against the other teams. I think that it would definitely be a solid contender but doesn't come close to Ginobili's offensive/defensive minded team, much less to Duncan's.
All of them (Duncan's team) can hit 3's with the exception of Duncan and they are all defensive minded players. The team also has 3 solid rebounders and shot blockers. As opposed to Ginobili's team, which I think is the most interesting of the 3. I've always wondered what it would be like if Ginobili and Nowitzki were to play together. Simply put, they would be the toughest 2-man players to guard! This is also a very defensive team with Artest, Noah and Rondo being solid scorers and role players. In the end, I think it's the team with the toughest defensive and length that wins. Duncan's team in 6 or 7 games!

    What do you guys think?

    C Duncan´s
    PF Dirk Nowitzki
    SF Stephen Jackson
    SG Michael Redd
    PG Chris Paul

    Parker´s
    C Dwight Howard
    PF Anderson Varejao
    SF Danny Granger
    SG Ray Allen

    Ginobili´s

    C Andrew Bogut
    PF Pau Gasol
    SF Ron Artest
    PG Chauncey Billups

I think those 3 are quite even.

nah no biggie. i just thought it be interesting to see which plausible players our big 3 could play well with. that's why i said no more than two superstars. but there could be great role players like paul milsap, or joakim noah who have some star studded performances in some nights.

i think duncan and james would compliment themselves very well. you add in odom whose won championships, this is a very great team. i'd say if duncan and james played together in their prime, they'd make a team that could compete with some of the best in nba history, including 96 bulls. but then again that's what was said of this year's miami... so whatever.

i still think ginobili and nowitzki would be a wonder to watch. so many ways they could beat you. drawing fouls, in the paint, outside the arc, very very tough guys to cover.... just to imagine.

I only have TP for now but here is a starting five with the same payroll (I moved Dice in the starting five and have Batum on a rookie contract for more flexibility).

well the point is it exists one ball to share so maybe kobe knows how to win with equal talent but I'm not sure he would be ready to decrease his 25 FGAs per game. Durant needs also 25. I hope the rest of the team doesn't need the ball in their hands to play the game.

LOL, I'm not sure Kobe + AI in his prime would work too well, they'd be battling each other for shots when they're on the same team. Add Durant to that? Then maybe his clean cut image would be tainted..I'm not sure how he would feel taking 2 shots per game.

I noticed that too. Too many players in this thread are right at that line between great players and superstars.
