Ron Paul Will Be Monetary Chairman (VIDEO)
Ron was pretty much a shoo-in when Paul-friendly Spencer Bachus of Alabama got the full committee chairmanship (which ought to be Ron’s by seniority, btw), but it is good to know that Spence has now told Ron that he will be finally be chairman of the monetary policy subcommittee, after being denied it three times by Republicans like Gingrich. This appointment is happening despite the lobbying against Ron by three big banks. This time, the Republican leadership dare not outrage the Ron Paulian masses. Get ready for some fun! They must be hanging the black crepe at bankster central, the Fed.

not that this will change anything, but good.
When you think about it, it does seem silly for congress to publicly fight like crazy on bills that are worth just a few million or billion dollars one way or the other, while two guys from the fed in a dark room in New York can dole out trillions without any oversight at all...
Where you at RG? You said no way in ....
Time to pick up that book I suppose, eh?
The Fed is a boon, a bankers' private club, for the financial sector, and the financial sector will spend $10Ms buying enough Congressional votes (actually just a handful in the Senate) to keep it untouched.
Paul is just jerking off.
dead wrong. Paul will be able to bring the spotlight on this issue for avg-joe-american, which will cause a ripple effect that will reach elected officials.
He may get handcuffed, but the spotlight is a strong thing.
The guys been waiting for his chance, I am excited to see what he does with it.
Congress is controlled by the corps, the financial sector, not by citizens.
He's need 60 votes in the Senate, and he ain't never gonna get it from Repugs and DINOs like Horse's Ass Nelson.
Ron Paul is not in the Senate.
Any Fed-busting legislation pushes through the House (won't happen) has to be passed by the Senate, duh.
They will get the full audit through the Senate eventually, and probably next year, where Ron will now have the help of Rand Paul.
You fail to understand that Ron Paul, getting named to this committee chair, will now have more credibility, more clout, and more publicity, not to mention that the vast majority of Americans agree with him.
many of the regulars here have to be led by the nose on anything concerning the Fed's operation, Galileo. They will see the light as the MSM begins to cover Paul's message. not a minute sooner
His legislation NEEDS VOTES, everything else is irrelevant bull .
Wall St ain't gonna let nobody mess with their Fed.
This should be fun. Can't wait to see the fireworks once he gets down to work.
I am shocked.
Not that I know/knew a lot of the background, but it doesn't surprise me that Mr. Paul has been denied before.
I guess we will get to see if this plays out to the benefit or detriment of the GOP. Good political theater either way.
As for Mr. Pual's book, I am taking a good chunk of time off for Christmas, but for now have to take up more household duties as wife studies for finals, so time is in short supply.
The eternal optimist. You think the coverage will trump the campaign contributions?
Parker2112 is amazingly naive to think anybody gonna see any light, and even if they did, they couldn't change anything.
The USA is one humongous constipated, ossified turd, rigid, and rigged by the wealthy and corps as their personal, reliable ATM paying out $Ts, with the Repugs and conservatives in charge of maintenance of the ATM.
Ron Paul should call on the Tea Party to have rallies for his cause and annoy the out of the establishment. That will be entertaining to watch and see if they are legit or just a GOP party circus.
The mixed metaphor stretches language to the breaking point (USA --> ossified/ constipated turd --> ATM) while the concrete claim made, that GOP and conservatives game the system for partisan advantage, is little better than half right. Nearly all participants do so.
(In fairness, the GOP is much better at it than the Dems. Does that you piss you off?)
