I was VERY pissed until I dug into the details. It isn't all that bad, IMO.
I then took a deep breath, and realized that Mr. Obama was right. The good outweighs the bad.
Swallowing the pill of giving the ONLY section of the population who has actually had any income gains in the last 15 years another break on the false premise that it is good for the economy is fine.
I took a deep breath and realized that the comprimise, although ceding what would have been a good cudgel to beat the Republicans with, i.e. "they are willing to let everybody suffer to benefit the richest", is simply the mature, responsible thing to do.
Even in the depths of my anger at Mr. Obama about this, all I had to do was think three little words that made any trace of regret for having voted for him go away: Vice-president Palin.
Astonishing what those three little words will erase.
