forgot abuot his 4 steals
16 and 12 tonight making clutch shots and rebounds.
Also, 3 double-doubles in the past 6 games.
If he can keep this pace all season long.... watch out.
Everything seems to be going right for us so far. I haven't been this excited for our team in years.
forgot abuot his 4 steals
Same old thing here on spurstalk. Love em when he is up. Trade em when he is down. Blair and hill are going to be huge for the spurs future. Big east baby. Represent Dejuan.
Blair is finally looking comfortable there. It took a little more time than Hill but I'm glad he's back
Warriors, Warriors, and Hawks. All small.
Maybe he can build his confidence and play better against bigger teams.
He looked great tonight. His defense is improving in the post and that's probably the biggest knock on his game. He keeps this up and how dangerous is this team come playoff time?
Hawks is not small
I think he screwed himself up this offseason by trying to extend his range and implementing that tony parker floater. it looks like he's back to his beasting ways and discarded all of that junk. if he wants to add something, he should look to add a hookshot
Hawks are one of the biggest teams in the league...
he extented his ranger because pop told him to
rofl @ hawks being small ....
I think Blair has it in him to be a focal point.
He had a game last season with 28 points and 22 rebounds, and that was against a team that took the Lakers to 6 games in the playoffs.
The typical Blair hater force are out there. Where is Cess?![]()
lol Hawks a small team with their second smallest player at 6"8"-6"9".
gtfo...
Blair beasted tonight, accept it.
doesn't invalidate my point. it doesn't matter who said what, just that it seems the extended range experiment was the problem. he belongs near the basket
the Bear is starting to prove himself. puts a smile on my face!
The Hawks made the Spurs look like midgets, tbh.
I still prefer him as a bench player, but it does look like he's finally adjusting to his role, instead of trying to be something that he isn't(trying too much to create off the dribble)..
I don't like him as a starter, because he has way too many mental and defensive lapses, but he's currently the best option to start(Splitter isn't ready, Bonner isn't ideal and McDyess seems to prefer coming off the bench), so I don't mind it that much, since Pop doesn't hesitate to pull him when he's struggling(unlike Bonner)..
The only big with with talent was Al Horford tonight.
Pachulia out.
Collins sucks. Didn't guard blair.
Marvin Williams small.
Powell small.
Josh Smith small.
I guess Blair was bully some true bigs tonight. LoL at people thinking the Hawks bigs are big and play big.
The Hawks are considered big because of the size of their guards and small forwards. The guys Blair was playing against aren't that big (6'9-6'10). So yeah, as far as Blair is concerned, the Hawks play a smaller frontcourt.
The Hawks are long and athletic, but they are one of the worst teams in the NBA at defending the paint, to be fair..with that being said, obviously Blair is improving and deserves a lot of credit..
This team potentially has a pretty crazy amount of weapons..
lol, you're so full of .
COS hemming and hawing, afraid to back away from the altar of the Brazilian Jesus. Nothing wrong with liking both players - no need to put Blair down as a way to inflate Splitter. I still can't believe all the numbnuts on this site who wanted to trade Blair without giving him a chance, while we're on a franchise best start.
Blair earned more minutes last year. He's getting them this year. The same will happen for Splitter next year, but if it happens later this year then that's great also.
