white power
BORING!
Mix in some damn colors people.
white power
My grandparents always did all blue, which was cool.
My folks usually do multicolored lights--much more entertaining to look at, IMO. Although I have to say the monochrome setup doesn't look bad if done right.
Outside of the house- whatever... Although all white is best; more so if they're those hanging 'icicle' lights.
All white lights for the tree is SOP though. Anything else is distasteful.
Yes, I was brought up in a home where we respected and were tolerant of all colors, not matter how different they were from each other.
People who put up lights that are all one color are racist.
Multi-colored for outside, white on the tree. At least until we have kids; I prefer white lights on the tree. I think they look nicer. But I love the multi-colored lights when I was a kid, so if we have living children that's what we'll do.
Though it hardly matters right now, since I'm not even getting out my pretty/nice ornaments. The tree and lights weren't up for a full minute before the cat was trying to climb it - we're using generic shatterproof ornaments and bows this year.
I use both clear and colored on the tree and outside.
I used all white lights for my xmas tree. My white lights are flashy and play music. Mine must be gay. So I'm not a racist.
I like multi-colored lights inside and out. I hate blinking lights of any color, though.
do you use them together?
this is the first year that i have white and multi color lights outside.
i used to think that it didnt look good but saw others doing it so i did it this year
I like white lights only outside in the trees. Multi colored lights every place else.
But actually at this point, I'd like any lights any place at my house![]()
I like all white, but colors are okay. I did see this one house in my neighborhood that had those large bulb lights on the outside and they changed color gradually it looked pretty neat.
I like an even mix of colored, clear, steady on, and blinking. Chase lights are a little gauche, though.
That's like saying, "I'm not racist, I have 3 black friends." If you can count how many "minority" friends you have, you're racist.
I bet you can count how many black friends you have.

White on the house. White and red on the trees. Colored on the bushes.
Colored on the Christmas tree.

On a side note, I always thought that houses with only red lights looked freakin' creepy.
And the nostalgic child in me still enjoys the old school bulbs in a red, blue, green pattern.
I saw a black tree with black lights at garden ridge.
