Damn
I wanted to see the youtube.
LOL!!!!
On a sidenote, there is a video. Apparently FSN's cameras were recording. I heard about it this morning on the radio, but haven't looked for it.
uses YouTube of single weather event to try to disprove climate change.
The video of the collapse is pretty amazing.
wow
I wonder if the investors can't the design fees back from the architect?
not the architects fault. its the contractors and architectural engineers.
could be. We don't know. I'm sure the lawyers will be on this like flies on .
True!
When I saw it for the first time on TV I was looking very hard to see if it wasn't an animation. The part when the roof starts to deform/cave-in looks fake like![]()
Hard to believe air pressure alone was keeping that up.
[QUOTE=DarrinS;4817294]Did Al Gore pay a visit?
He at least had to be somewhere in the area.
I wonder which engineers will have a hard time finding jobs in the future?
Actually, that's not necessarily true. It probably is the engineers fault, but such a roof requires the entire stadium to be pressurized. If the pressure was set too low, or too many doors open for the system to compensate, this could occur. It could also happen if one of my fellow Parts Changers didn't maintain the system correctly.
How much snow was there?
From what I understand - about 17 inches. How much snow was there?
OK, that much wouldn't ac ulate on a domed roof. I wonder what the pounds per square inch were were it collapsed at?
Here's an interesting read, staring page 4 section iii) Capital Improvements Committee:
