If the Spurs win the championship, who would you want to get Finals MVP?

I want Timmy to get the MVP even though Manu is my favorite player. I just like the idea of Timmy having a finals MVP in three consecutive decades.

Yes, I know this thread is premature.

Tim duncan... but wouldn't it be so sweet if manu got the mvp so espn can no longer proclaim other big 3's the big 3 and would have to automatically call the spurs big 3 the best all time

It would have to be Manu...

I thought he and Timmy both deserved it in 2005, and although it was fair that Tim won, Manu deserves to have his Finals MVP.

Absolutely 1000000000000000000000% Manu. He deserves it and there would be nothing more special than to see that man get it.

Blair. Because if he can be that good it means the Spurs have a future beyond Duncan's retirement.

But realistically I'd like Duncan to go out and get that Quadruple double and get a finals MVP as well.

Well it would be nice to see Tim get another Finals MVP, but it would also be sweet to have Manu get it. To have a big 3 all get Finals MVPs is awesome.

I'd like Duncan to get another Finals MVP so that he can shut up the crazy Kobe fans for just one day - 5 rings with 4 Finals MVP & 2 reg season MVPs > 5 rings with 2 Finals MVP & 1 reg season MVP.

Getting a Finals MVP in 3 different decades would be awesome too - consistent excellence.

Although, Manu getting it would be nice. Then each of the big 3 will have 1.

Definately Manu. If they do win it all im gona say its probably the last one. It would only be right for all 3 to have the award. If it wasn't for all 3 there probably wouldnt be 3 more rings for us. Duncan 3 tp 1 and manu 1. It would only be right.

wouldnt it be sweet to have a pic of the big 3 with 5 trophies all standing side by side. Duncan in the middle with 3 trophies under him, manu to the right with one, and tp with 1 under him. That would seal the deal. Spurs Dynasty! Greatest big 3 of all time.

I would want Manu or Duncan to win it. Manu b/c he deserves one and is the MVP of our team so far this season. If we win the championship, I believe he will win it. But I really would love Duncan to get his 4th. It would further his legacy of one of the greatest nba players ever and imo, will no doubt put him somewhere in the top 6.

Same. I'm not anti Parker by any means, though. But a fourth for Duncan would give him sole possession of second most ever, behind Jordan and there's a good chance it would put him out of reach from Bryant. Then we'll see if the ignorant masses, who suffer from revisionist history, pretend Bryant is greater historically.

At this point, I couldn't say who'd be more likely to win it if the Spurs were to win the championship, because it's largely dependent on match-up. If the Spurs play the Celtics, then Ginobili probably wins it. If the Spurs play the Heat, then Duncan or Parker probably wins it. If the Spurs play the Magic, then Ginobili or Parker probably wins it.

Manu. So there's no confusion as to who is the real Big Three.

But it would also be sweet if Timmy wins a 4th.

    Duncan, didn't even think twice.

I'd love to see Manu get one, wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit, but as strange as it is to say ... I think there's more for Tim to gain. Seems somewhat strange to say but we're talking historical-type stuff.

If the Spurs were to win it though, I'd put my money on Manu. I just can't see Tony carrying the Spurs to a championship over Boston (the team my money's on to be there). And the only way I could see Tim winning it is if Manu and Tony kind of wash each other out by taking turns offensively and Tim finishes the series with something like an average of 15 points, 15 boards, a few assists and a couple of blocks as the team's anchor.

But I ain't picky ... Matt Bonner could tell me to "Eat fresh" while he cut a promo for Subway as Bill Russell handed him the Finals MVP and a napkin.

Really? That is crazy. I don't care about history when it comes to things like that. I care about karma and the world being in balance and well, finding a way to make things right. Manu needs one and there is no way around it.

Really (?!?, with Seth and Amy). I don't understand how it's Karma for Manu to get an MVP. I love him to death and would be more than happy for him to get one for himself, but I don't believe he's been robbed of anything in the past. And if he plays well enough to win it this time around, he will.

Tim's just my dude. And after all of the years he's put under his belt and all of what he's gone through physically and as a player with the Spurs, I can't help but want to see him get his fifth le, fourth Finals MVP and to have him receive it from the player I've always believed he was this generation's version of, Bill Russell.

    That's Karma to me.
