shut up loco
+1. Tuff Juice tbh.
Damn you are butt hurt over this![]()
thats great coming from you tbh. I don't see how I've shown any sign of being butthurt about this issue. You on the other hand...
You have been posting in here, I have not. You = Butt Hurted.
I don't see how trading for Ginobili would become a "lateral move" for the Mavs
compared to Manu ---- they suck.that's quite a stretch, I'd gladly have either on my team, just not for Manu...doesn't mean they suck.
You still don't get it.
Just because the Mavericks don't make the move doesn't mean that they don't think it makes them better. Of course Manu>>>>>Roddy right now but Roddy is 22 and has plenty of basketball left.
What happens if we trade for Manu but then we lose in the 1st/2nd round? Then we're left with an aging Jason Kidd and no point guard for the future.
The reason it isn't a lateral move is because Dallas/Cuban would do anythign for the 1st championship. If he had 2-3 ships in the bag, this would be a "NO" bc of Roddy's future. But because Manu's presence makes them better this year and probably next year, Cuban would do it.You still don't get it.

Dajuan Wagner and Caron for Manu?
I don't know...Dajuan has too much potential, so i don't think you make that deal. You can't keep making shortsighted trades, at some point you have to consider a Mavs team without Dirk.
do it cuban!
Plus Caron's multiple jab steps are hard to stop.
Spurs let you have Wilt Mahinmi, what more do you want from San Antonio.
ROFL @ Manu not having "killer instinct". This coming from a fan of a team who can't close on any piece of ass they face. The Mavericks are an awesome team, Dirk is unstoppable, but it takes more than Dirk and a pretty regular season record to win the Championship. I still firmly believe that The Mavs could have easily defeated the Heat in the finals, but they let the pressure get in their heads, and it spread like a plague, and the Heat capitalized on that.
Manu is EXACTLY what you need. But it wouldn't make sense, considering Manu only has two or three more years left.
In all seriousness, this trade would be -
1) Good for Dallas in the very short term, terrible for them in the long term, and therefore bad for them overall.
2) Terrible for San Antonio in the short term, and only possibly beneficial for them in the long run, thus terrible overall.
This would be a bad trade for both teams. Bad in terms of overall prospects. Certainly bad in terms of ruining chemistry.
I was impressed with Roddy B given what I saw from him in a handful of games last season + last playoffs, but that's it. It's not enough.
tbh in all honesty, yes. Caron has been a jumpshooter who is not the "second option" Dallas is looking for. Manu can break down defenses as well as make clutch jumpshots, the perfect person to take pressure off Dirk. Roddy was amazing in flashes we saw last year but if the Mavs got Manu, it would probably make them favorites in the West for at least 2 years.
If Manu was on the mavs they would easily be the favorites. Easily.
It would be an awesome trade for Dallas. They would finally get a #1 option to allow Dirk to play his natural role as second banana. Could you imagine a team featuring Nowitzki and Ginobili dominating the NBA? That'd be the first international duo to win a le at the helm.![]()
