    1) Spurs don't have the pieces for Melo, especially since Duncan, Parker, and Ginobil wouldn't be one of them.

    2) San Antonio probably isn't on Melo's "wish list".

    3) Denver will likely avoid sending Melo to another Western contender if at all possible.

    4) All this for a guy who, while talented, is bailing on his team and touting trade talks in the middle of a compe ive season.

Anthony wants to go back to the East Coast. Preferably the Knicks, maybe the Nets.

Melo is over rated. He's a low efficiency volume scorer who really doesn't bring much else to the table. He's never taking any team anywhere special.

Same with Jelly Bean Bryant's offspring.

He's never taking any team anywhere special.
Again, same with Kobe. Kobe had to jump on the back of most dominant big man to play the game the past 30 years, Shaq.

Once Shaq left Kobe couldn't even get out of the first round. he didn't even make the playoffs one year.

Then with the wave a magical colluding wand, Kupchick got Kobe the next most dominant big man in the game, Gasol. And what do you know, Kobe finally gets out of the first round again and wins another championship then gets compared to Jordan. Give me a ing break.

    Get a clue already ChuckieD.

What about Bonner, Udoka, rights to De Cola- Gist- Marcus Williams- and the next 4 first rounders?

it, we need to win now anyway.

He's NOT signing an extension, so whoever we give up is gone for good and we lose out on Anthony after this season. He's burned out.

Pretty sure he'd want to play with Duncan, Manu, Tony, Bonner, RJ and George over just Amare.

    Just saying.

It's not gray, it's silver. Like the Spurs - some are silver , some are black. It's not changing with time or post count. It's certainly not changing with drivel either.

Obviously you are a troll.. but I'm too much of a basketball nerd not to correct you and tell you that you can't trade consecutive first rounders.. Pretty much the Minnesota Rule.

Actually it would take this. Looked it up on Shamsports. ( read below)

Just looked it up actually thanks to Google.

It would take Splitter, Udoka, McDyess, rights to De Cola and maybe a first rounder?

If McDyess was bought out and brought back would you do it?

Not bad.. but I think throwing in de Cola too is giving too much. Maybe another second rounder? Would that still work?

How about this.. Spurs trade a second rounder for tayshaun prince. Then.. in the summer you sign Tay to a one year max contract.. Then by this time next year you have a Max expiring contract to trade and get some damn good players with! Not bad, Eh?

De Colo is just a very intriguing prospect and a throw-in sweetener. Nothing more.

The main objective in the Bucks eyes would be to net a quality up and coming big man ( Splitter) for a fraction of Bogut's salary and clear cap space for the upcoming new CBA. ( I don't think it's smart to play with fire and possible put your franchise in financial flux by possibly paying the luxury tax in the near future.)

Let's get it straight-- For as good as Bogut is, he is overpaid. (See below).

    11 million - This year
    12 million - Next year
    13 million - 2012-2013
    14 million - 2013-2014

That my friend is overpaid for what he is.

Spurs give Bucks a starting caliber center in Splitter for a fraction of Bogut's salary. At the same time they clear a butt-load of cap-space for the future (39 million to be exact), by McDyess and possibly Udoka's contracts coming off the books the following season.

Like I said before, this is probably somewhat far-fetched if the Bucks are playoff contenders ( which they may be). But if they are not playoff contenders-- Their management might consider trading Bogut because none of their other lucrative contracts (Gooden, Salmons, Maggette) are as movable as Bogut's (given the value of the contract).

I'm sure they would do it.. God knows a top 5 center in the league should be getting less than 11-14 million and I'm sure they will want to trade a young all star center for a center with less than a months experience in the league that hasn't yet made a start. Sounds like a deal.
