Different bone this time, but it's time for the big man to hang it up.

It was a good career while it lasted big man.

Man... China. They really ruined him. It's a shame because he was very gifted for a big man.

I don't think all the blame goes on China, guys his height rarely have long basketball careers. At least we can move forward knowing that he's done and his contract expires at the end of the season.

All very predictable. Guys his height / weight weren't designed to run and jump up and down a hardwood floor. I had a conversation about Yao after his 1st season with some fans and explained that this was going to happen to him well before he hits 30. I said his best years will be now (back in 2003/04) and he'll get progressively worse due to his body failing presmaturely unlike most players who hit their prime between 27-32.

Yeah, now we find out who's still true Rockets fans. A true fan stays with his/her team always, I have a feeling half of the Rockets fanbase is about to disappear

no kidding! we finally get to rebuild. i loved having yao on the rockets, but this organization has pretty much been without a rudder since tmac died and yao's numerous foot injuries.

hopefully, morey can start to turn things around rather than be tied down to yao (for the obvious business reasons that the owner likes).

Let's get an injury exception. Make some use of him before we let him walk (or roll) away.

i have no clue what we will do with that. i don't even know what the rules around injury exceptions are. i wish we could trade it or something.

    anyhow.... to tanking this year!
