This was perhaps the best Bonner performance I've ever seen. Yes, he's had better numbers/production, but his 3pt shooting, rebounding and FT shooting came precisely when we needed it. Rather Horry like. Rather uncharacteristic.
Oh ohh, I wanna be first on this one.

    Big Shot Bonner!

These +/- stats are not always reflecting the production/level of the players, and last night they didn't!
what it mostly reflected was that the Nuggets starters were beating the Spurs starters. The score at the end of the first quarter reflected as much.

...yet As and Bs were passed out to them....

one of the themes this year in close wins has been players outside of the Big 3 stepping up and hitting clutch shots. in the win against the Magic, Suns and Nuggets, RJ has stepped up and hit key outside shots that he's gotten off of penetration and kick. the game where he didn't do that was against Dallas, and we lost that one. of course, there was a lot more wrong with that game than RJ playing bad, but it will be KEY for RJ to keep making shots off of kicks.

I'm a little worried about Manu. He's played great, but he's had some horrific games lately. the away game against the Clippers, the home game against the Wolves, and now the one against Denver. it's been overshadowed by the fact that he's hit some clutch shots, but he's is CLEARLY tired right now.

i'm also worried about Hill. Hill does not play well on the road. this is a trend i've noticed going back to last year. sure he's had good away games, but they're too few and far between. this is one of the reasons i'm not "sold" on Hill. playoff success is largely dependent on being able to win away games, and if a key player can't step it up on the road, you have to consider trading him for a player that will.

I agree with you. Manu's played great in the last quarter, but he's had some horrific plays in the first half and he struggled early. Without TD and TP, the game was not a closed game against the nuggets.
TP was awesome is this first half !!!
I'm not sure but it was something like 18 pt with (7/11) and 7 ast !!
YES, TD and TP carried the spurs throughtout the game.

Now I have a question, I'm not an expert of the nba but if Anthony makes an offensive foul in the last play, what do you think about the dunk Of Smith on Neal's head at the end of the first quarter. The foul is for Smith !! The rules are very strange is the NBA ! This is not the spirit of BB. Definitely, it's not BB ! Perhaps the Refs was very bad in this game?

I believe Neal was standing in the restricted area, which is why the refs called the block rather than the charge.

The Will to Win is strong in this team.
This. I had written this off as a loss, and for the first quarter and a half it looked like it was going to be a classic 20 point blowout.

This team just keeps coming at you. Hopefully this style of play doesnt wear down our guys before the real season starts.
