I was just showing how wrong you were. It's not my fault when you say something so ing dumb that I have to point it out. Anyways, keep it up.![]()
again though son you are missing the entire point of the thread ... I never once doubted what Duncan has done in the past, but for s sake you're talking about something that happened 8 years ago lol ....
this thread is about Duncan RIGHT NOW and RIGHT NOW he's not even a top 40 player.
I was just showing how wrong you were. It's not my fault when you say something so ing dumb that I have to point it out. Anyways, keep it up.![]()
Exactly right. Therefore, he no longer has to put up the STATS he did when he was in his prime. I'm not some blind homer Spur fan that doesn't see the writing on the wall. Duncan can still give you a great game every now and again, but those days are far and few in between these days. That, however, doesn't mean all the players you mentioned are better than TD. He just no longer is needed the way he used to be. He has more help now.
lol 90%
then son since you're "not some blind homer Spur fan" ... can you admit that Duncan has fallen off from elite status and isn't even a top 40 player anymore? the facts and stats don't lie.
keep in mind that James Posey was a huge part of the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics recent championships. Should that give him a huge boost into the top players too???
Duncan > CP3
the growth of age has equal effect on everyone. its undeniable that duncan of current version is not nearly as great a player he used to be, but i can accept it as long as the team functions well. there may be 20 individuals better than Tim but it doesn't mean they can do us a better job than tim does. basketball is a team game and the result of a game never equals the simple ac ulation of personal stats.
Aw it, BR is trolling. I feel just like this kid right now...
Well played sir, continue your troll-age.
Son, no team has ever geared their defensive game plan to stop James Posey. Let's not compare apples and oranges here. As I stated in my last post, I admit that Duncan has slipped, as most players do as they age. I no longer consider TD as an elite player, for several reasons, including because he no longer has to be. But to say that he is no longer a top 40 player on a team with the best record in the league and as an integral member of said team is stretching it a bit.
In all honesty, it makes your post seem rather bias. But if that's your opinion then I can respect that.![]()
Badass trolling BR
tbh, if your trying to be realistic you are completely being a butthurt got.
We all know Duncan has fallen ing re . Same could be said about Kobe, Shaq, Yao, and any other player on the opposite side of thirty.
Duncan has fallen, but to a point. He has only been needed to play a limited role this year. If he was needed to play a more influential role, he could (See the first 25-30 games of the 08-09, 09-10 NBA year). The fact that Ginobili and Parker were either hurt or gassed from international compe ion, and the Spurs had a crap of a line up for one season (2008-09) and a much-improved but new team (2009-10) called upon for Duncan to play his ass off. But seriously, idiot, big men always decline in ability. ing basketball science predicts the same thing will happen to every big man, and its only a limited time. The same thing has happened to KG, Shaq, and any other big man in the past that balled it up in his hey day (see Chris Webber). What you idiots (non spur fans who absolutely hate how Duncan has dominated the NBA for the past decade or so) eat on is simple ing analysis and frank common sense: Duncan, like all big man, has declined and will continue to do so. But he's still better than 90% (when he wants or needs to be) of the sorry ass list of scrub and above average players you posted on your list.
And get it the right, I am not buthurt, but stating facts to an otherwise credible poster who seems to become more uncredible by the minute.
our team is outstanding and still plays awesome teamwork as they always do, which has been the groundwork for our successes all these years. if the team wins a game, it's owed to the efforts of the whole group not just one or two outstanding players.
For as long as Duncan has been in the Nba the opposing coach has never considered putting a small-forward on him to shut him down. Even this year at the ripe age of 34 an opposing coach wouldn't consider that. Gregg Popovich not only considered putting as small-foward(Richard Jefferson) on David West but actually did. Turns out a ing small-forward can shut David West down.
Nice list![]()
ing cosigned.
Hey fellow spurstalk, lets talk about how bad and overrated David West is.
The fact that a player much smaller than him (Richard Jefferson), shut and overplayed a player supposedly better than Duncan calls for BR to shut the up and consider never drugging up on whatever it is that's causing him to post these completely wrong statements.
and son again I never once took ANYTHING away from the Spurs success. I complimented both Manu and Parker for taking over the leadership reigns from Duncan in 2007.
lol yet David West still has put up over 5 points more PER GAME than Duncan has in head to head matchups with the Hornets this season. epic fail.
go on, let's see...TD is better than:

Al Jefferson 16/8 - Duncan 13/9
these stats are from hollinger, right? the same hollinger you all pilloried for puting the heat on top of his power rankings?
y'all need to let go of his sack.
tim can still grab 20+10 stats if he wants to. well in his 30s tim is aware of the change in his body and knows his own limits, so he chose to shed some weight off the shoulder on purpose.
lol buthurt Nuggets fan who is always witness to an early playoff exit predominately in the form to an opposing team named the Spurs lead by Duncan.
Idiotic again, it has been implied and written all over the face of reality.
See:
Duncan hasn't been needed like years past
Although Duncan has declined, he's still better than your "I got shut down by a small forward" 'all-star' David West.
son then why has Tim only grabbed 20 and 10 in ONE of the last 5 seasons? regardless though none of that matters. the fact is he is currently a 9 rebound per game player who is struggling to score double digits. It takes everything in him to put up those 13 points.
lakaluva speaks the truth tbh
lol @ spursfan who sounds like he wants to take TD on a date.
i'm amazed you can type with his on your prostate
Let me say mate, anytime and everytime you commend any trolling effort by Lakaluva, you become more uncredible for the reality that is life.
Please don't ever say or imply that Lakaluva speaks the truth.
duncan is still the spiritual leader of the team and this role can't be surrogated by manu or parker, or anyone else. maybe hes not doing as much as he used to, or not capable of it any more, but it will be a long time before he gets completely replaced and the replacement would be another HOF caliber.
