    lol MavKrew

    My take back then:

    TBH,IMHO,FWIW.
    nice find le.

we all were expressing outrage that the DUST chip so highly touted turned into an injury prone center that may or may not have an impact. if you look, even at this thread, later on most of us rethought the trade after the initial shock.

also, it's funny you quote stretch about knowing basketball but failed to post his initial thoughts on the trade, probably because he liked the trade from the start. but it's just like some nazi sympathizer manu knobslobber to cherry pick.

I don't care what stretch thought about the trade back then, supposedly every member of the Mavkrew should know about basketball, not one out of ten.

@ epic M>S meltdown in the beginning of this topic.

Seems that trade ended up working out pretty well.

This is something a fan would want to be wrong about, so laughing at them is pretty much pointless.

I was pretty calm about the trade from the beginning. I obviously had no idea that the Chandler that looked injury prone and done for the past 3 years would magically play some of the best ball of his career.

Like I said earlier, it is amazing how much being healthy has helped him. I didn't know his injuries were that bad previously.

I still think the Mavs are even surprised by this and I still think they got him knowing he was a tradeable asset if he didn't work out. I think they wanted some interior defense and extra length and he was the best available.

Sometimes, you just cant put a price on chemistry, communication, heart, and effort, and Chandler brings all of those things, whereas its arguable that a guy like Al Jefferson or Andre Iguodala might not have brought any of those things.

Chandler stayed healthy, proved scros wrong, and we get to enjoy a championship thanks to it. Even trade off.

I didn't understand why everyone was so down on Chandler. I just remember defense and dunks from him. Those 2 things are what we need more of. I thought of Al Jefferson as a poor defender and volume shooter. I'll take a defensive role player that gets dunks anytime. I have to admit I also thought it was too late for Dallas as they needed this kind of big man 3-4 years ago.
