    lol having your laugh, bandwagoner
A fan of the team that just lost by 20 to the Bucks really can't say right now.

Dallas, Boston, and Orlando fan can have their laughs at the Spurs expense. They're en led to that. But dumb Lakerfan needs to crawl back into his hole and resume his usual business (sodomy, fantasizing about being Kate Faber, etc) until the Lakers get a quality win, something they have been unable to do all year.

    25*-4.

*Neither of these 25 wins were against the champs. 2 of the "wins" came courtesy of Stern's minions. Should be 23-6, tbh.

Seriously though, you guys need to trade for some size. D12 is a beast, but when the trio of Pau/LO/Bynum begin clicking, that is a tall order for TD to combat alone (pun intended).
For once I actually agree with you.

The Spurs are gonna get gangbanged inside by LA if they keep the team they have now. I don't see how they can survive Odom, Pau, and Bynum, without even taking into account Kobe

Why aren't you guys playing Splitter? Does Pop have the same disdain for rooks that PJ has?

Who do you give up, though, to bring a semi-quality big man in and not dramatically affect chemistry?

I'm not gonna prop up Splitter as the next Kareem-Olajuwon-Russell and overrate him to the degree that many homer Spurs fans are doing, but if Pop manages to fully integrate him (something he's been unable to do since Splitter missed training camp with an injury), he'll provide a solid buff to the Spurs undersized front line. His biggest asset is that he can guard the pick-and-roll, which TD hasn't been able to do for the past two years.

Sure, LA's frontline still over matches the Spurs, but at least with Splitter, they'll have another long 6'11" guy to throw at Gasol/Bynum. And remember, LA still has to contend with the Spurs perimeter. Manu, Parker, and Jefferson match up very well with Fisher, Kobe, and Artest.

Bass looks a uva lot better when he has a center like Howard next to him bc his ty defense isnt exposed. When playing along side Dirk or even at center at time Bass was on defense with the mavs

And this was the reason he was so coveted in the off season. The Spurs actually sign him and then stick him on the bench. He needs to get acclimated ASAP to be ready for the playoffs. Get him in the weight room, and give him some reasonable minutes next to Tim.

too many people overrate lakers big's against the spurs

Duncan forsure can cover a one legged Bynum

Gasol is not the most athleric guy in the world either is Spliiter, but Splitter defense will effect Gasol

Odom doesn't bother me really Mcdyess will ruff him up like dirk in the playoffs last year

thats not even including Bonner or Blair

Rebounding will have to get better thought then I think we will be fine at that time.

    Splitter guarding Gasol?

That's a huge IF and Splitter is gonna have to get a lot better because his defense is . Gasol would have a field day if he played today's Splitter

I agree Duncan can guard Bynum

Disagree with McDyess guarding Odom although is sounds a lot more logical than this gem I read the other day

Odom - that's one guy Matt Bonner could probably defend since he has both the quickness and height.

Per Pop's quote, it seems Splitter's been dealing with a few lingering injuries, so Pop was reluctant to play him any significant amount of minutes.

He appears healthy now. Hopefully we see more playing time for him come the second half of the season. Bonner should be a spot minute player at best. Stretch 4s are useless in the playoffs.

I would love the Spurs to win, but I can't complain after a 10-game winning streak. The Magic are so due for a ing win and it just so happened that the Spurs are there to do it.

We're still on top of the league so this doesn't bother me.
